Jack Sadelstein loves his family. He loves his wife, Erin and he loves his two children, Sofia and Gary. But the one family member he truly hates is his sister, Jill. Which is why Jack dreads Thanksgiving every year; it's the one time of the year where Jill travels up to see him to stay for a few days.
Despite Jack insisting that he and Jill are nothing alike, there's no denying his resemblance to his twin. They were Double Dutch champions in their youth; they have the same taste in films and they even share the same habit of scratching their jaw.
This Thanksgiving, Jack is determined to try harder to enjoy spending time with Jill. But it's a lot harder than he thought. Jill embarrasses him in public by whacking an old woman with her heel and attempts to ride a jet ski in his pool.
However, things look up for both Jack and Jill. Attending a baseball game, Jill gets a complimentary hot dog with someone's number written in ketchup. And that someone is none other than Al Pacino. For a moment, Jack wonders if he could accept his sister if she started seeing the legendary actor; but his opinion soon returns to his old way of thinking when Jill smashes Pacino's one and only Oscar (which he won for Best Actor in the film Scent of A Woman).
Can Jack ever truly like Jill, or will they grow apart after this disastrous Thanksgiving?
