Before he was incarcerated Ray Bradstone was one of the best getaway drivers in New Orleans, now his prison sentence has come to an end, Ray is looking to make up for his past mistakes and wants to have an honest future. One of the most important things he feels he must to is to make up for all the lost time with Sally, his daughter, by being the best father he can.
Released from prison, Ray soon finds the real world isn't very accepting of so called reformed characters and when his old gang offer him one final heist as a way of making a quick buck, the offer is too good for him to refuse. However, looking at his failed past, he soon has a change of heart but that leaves the gang without a vital member.
Though he might not be employable, Ray decides it's not going to get him down and he's going to volunteer as a chaperone on his daughter's next school trip. The only thing standing in the way of him and his day out with Sally and her class is Phillip Larue, the leader of Ray's old gang who is now hot on the heels of Ray wishing to seek settle a score for messing up their last robbery. Juggling two very different worlds, Ray must protect the school kids whilst also dealing with the dangerous criminals.
