Frontman Fitz and co-lead singer Noelle Scaggs of Los Angeles six-piece Fitz And The Tantrums explore their beginnings in a citywide tour of their hometown from the comfort of a brand new FIAT 500L. It's a moment of nostalgia for the pair, who haven't had much chance for retrospect lately.

'This is where it all began for Fitz and the Tantrums', Fitz announces, as they pull up outside music nightspot The Satellite where the band enjoyed more than a little local support. 'If you're a band in LA this is kind of where you make your name and you cut your teeth. We ended up doing a residency where we played every Monday night for a whole month. The first night it was almost sold out, the next week it was sold out and every week after that.'

FATT also got a chance to experience again the glorious views of Silver Lake Reservoir on their FIAT trip. Unsurprisingly, Silver Lake has always been a particularly influential place for the band. It was the very neighbourhood where Fitz, who had formed the band in 2008, recorded their debut EP 'Songs From A Breakup, Vol. 1' which was soon followed by their Billboard's Heatseekers chart number one album 'Pickin' Up The Pieces' in 2010. Incidentally, the Reservoir was also the location described in their catchy 2014 Oscar song 'The Walker', about an eccentric Silver Lake fixture who would power-walk topless around the reservoir everyday.

'Their other must-visit destinations of LA included Fitz's favourite 'high end' coffee shop Lamill Coffee and the Baxter Stairs in Echo Park where they tucked into some well deserved tacos. They also got a chance to re-visit the 'coolest' record store in LA, Origami Music. 'This is also a record store that's been very supportive of our band', Noelle admits, as Fitz discovers a vinyl of theirs on cue. Musing over their return to their roots, Fitz admits: 'It's a crazy lifestyle to be in a different city everyday.'
