FKA Twigs: Relationship With Robert Pattinson Is "Worth It" Despite Negative Attention

FKA Twigs has described her relationship with Robert Pattinson as "worth it" in the face of negative attention from some users of social media.
FKA Twigs has spoken about her relationship with Robert Pattinson. It is the first time the British singer has discussed her relationship with the Twilight star.

The 26-year-old singer has been dating Pattinson since September of this year and their relationship has certainly attracted a great deal of attention. Whilst most of the comments on social media and in the press have centred on Pattinson's close friendship with his ex-girlfriend and Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart, there have been more unsavoury remarks made by Pattinson's fans.
Despite the negative attention, Twigs feels her relationship is "worth it". Speaking to USA Today, Twigs explained how she appreciates people commenting on her work but finds the attention surrounding her relationship "weird". In the interview, Twigs said: "I really enjoy the fun of putting something out and people liking it or hating it or talking about it, but vacuous attention, it feels disgusting. It's like a hangover. It's weird, I know that's not really because of me or what I'm doing, [but] the positivity that I get from [my relationship] makes the more challenging aspects ... very worth it."

Shortly after the news of Twigs' relationship with Pattinson broke in September, Twigs received a number of racist threats on Twitter from users who appeared to be Pattinson's fans. Twigs responded to those trolling her account by writing two tweets in which she emphasised how unacceptable racism is. Twigs wrote: "I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week." She later added: "Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online."
Regardless of what some Twitter users have to say, Twigs and Pattinson are evidently enjoying each other's company as they have been spotted together in New York on numerous occasions. Sources, speaking to the Mirror, also claim their relationship is getting serious. "They're very serious, Rob's only seeing her, he's not dating anyone else or even looking at other girls. He's really happy, they're falling in love, he's totally wrapped up in her," the source claimed.
