A fan had to come to the rescue in Sheffield when legendary rappers Public Enemy were left stranded after a taxi mix-up nearly forced them to miss their arena gig. Flavor Flav Will Stand Charges Over Alleged Butcher's Knife Incident

Flavor Flav Public Enemy

Oh Flavor Flav, what have you (allegedly) done? See, we say allegedly, because he’s innocent until proven guilty. And he’ll be trying to prove that innocence in a court of law, a judge has determined.

William Jonathan Drayton Jr., (you and I know him as Flavor Flav of Public Enemy fame) didn't testify during a Wednesday evidence hearing in Las Vegas Justice Court. The teenager in question (you and I know him as the ‘alleged stabee’) did, though, and pointed out the clock wearing rapper as the man who chased him to a bedroom and stabbed the knife through the door during an argument in October last year. This teenage guy is a 6-foot 3-inch, 200-pound high school football and basketball player, who can’t be named because he’s just a juvenile. Andress-Tobiasson judged, despite the rapper’s side arguing that he acted in self-defence (albeit very quietly), that the trial will go ahead on April 18th.

Public Enemy Performing At The Freeze Festival in London

Public Enemy brought the house down at the Freeze Festival in London, as they closed the event on Saturday (October 27, 2012) with a greatest hits set that saw the rap troupe take in songs like 'Don't Believe The Hype', 'Timebomb' and 'Bring The Noise'. Flavor Fav hasn't had the best of months, having been arrested for domestic battery assault after an incident with his girlfriend, but outwardly at least he seemed to be in good spirits as he hooked up with Chuck D to ensure the UK crowd didn't go home disappointed.

Flavor Flav To Fight Domestic Abuse Charges With Not Guilty Plea

Flavor Flav

Flavor Flav is to fight the domestic abuse charges levelled at him earlier on this month. He was arrested last week, but intends to plead not guilt and reconcile with his wife, The Associated Press reports.

William Jonathan Drayton Jr., aka Flavor Flav didn't appear in person during a hearing before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa. The 53-year-old former rap, hip-hop and reality TV star is alledged to have pushed his girlfriend of eight years to the floor and wielded two knives as he chased and threatened the woman's 17-year-old son during an argument Wednesday at their home in Las Vegas. But, according to his attourney, he'll fight these charges by pleading not guilty. "They've been together a long time, and they want to work this out," Tony Abbatangelo said. "We want what's best for the family." Elizabeth Trujillo, 39, told police her earring was ripped out during the incident that she said stemmed from an argument over infidelity. The teenage son wasn't injured.

Flav found fame in the 80s and 90s as part of the rap group Public enemy; his signature look was an oversized clock round his neck. He later went on to star in reality TV shows. He does, however have a criminal history, which includes a month in jail for assaulting his then-girlfriend in 1991, and three months in prison for shooting at a neighbor in New York in 1993.

Flavor Flav Accused Of Rampaging With Knives Before Arrest

Flavor Flav

The first post-arrest report on Flavor Flav, who was arrested on charges of domestic violence yesterday morning, has been released, detailing that the rapper went way overboard with his attack.

According to TMZ, who are believed to have access to the official police report on the incident, violently hurled his fiancee to the ground twice before ripping out one of her earrings and then chased her teenage son around the house brandishing a knife in each hand. Flav then allegedly kicked down a locked door that the 17-year-old son had taken refuge behind and threatened to kill him. It was around this time that the police responded to a distress call and Flav was taken into the custody of the Las Vegas Police.

The report is also said to give Flav's defence, in which he denies chasing the teenager with the knives and threatening to kill him afterwards, although he does admit to causing harm to his fiancee.

Cyrus Getting Sexy: Miley Cyrus Matures For Two And A Half Men

Miley Cyrus Ashton Kutcher Angus T. Jones Foo Fighters The Dave Matthews Band Public Enemy Flavor Flav

Miley Cyrus is shaking off her Hannah Montana image and getting saucy with her forthcoming Two and a Half Men appearance. Miley, 19, landed a guest spot on the popular sitcom and plays the daughter of one of Walden’s mate’s (Walden is played by Ashton Kutcher). With the new Miley Cyrus haircut - a sleek blond bob - it’s clear that Miley is leaving her Disney days behind as MTV have shown her pictured on a bed with Ashton, wearing a skimpy lingerie set, which leaves little to the imagination.

It’s not Ashton that she’s after, in the show though – so Mila Kunis can breathe a sigh of relief. Miley’s character Missi has her sights set on Jake – played by Angus T Jones. Her latest TV appearance seems to be the next step in her campaign to become a sex symbol, rather than a squeaky-clean teen star. Earlier this year, it was reported that she’s working on her new album, which she hopes will be “very adult and sexy and believable.” She’s signed up with Red Light Management, who deal with the likes of Foo Fighters and The Dave Matthews Band, so we’re expecting a rockier image from Cyrus this time round.

Miss Cyrus might have to be careful that she doesn’t try to grow up too quickly though. Just last weekend, she was involved in an embarrassing social faux pas, when the Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav had his photo taken with her, mistakenly thinking that she was Gwen Stefani. Most women would kill to be mistaken for Gwen Stefani, of course, but it’s worth remembering that she’s over twice Miley’s age!

What A Gaffe! Flavor Flav Mistakes Miley Cyrus For Gwen Stefani

Flavor Flav Public Enemy Gwen Stefani No Doubt Miley Cyrus

Flavor Flav made a bit of a fool of himself at the iHeartRadio Festival over the weekend. The Public Enemy member (he’s the one with the over-sized clocks) was filmed meeting Gwen Stefani backstage at the festival and he was clearly over the moon that he managed to get his picture taken with her. The only problem is that it wasn’t actually the No Doubt singer that he was posing with. It was Miley Cyrus. Yes, that’s right Mr. Flav managed to confuse the 42 year old No Doubt singer with the 19 year-old Hannah Montana star. Ouch.

We’re wondering how Miley’s feeling now that she knows her new cropped blonde hairdo has effectively doubled her apparent age? Perhaps Flavor Flav needs a massive pair of spectacles? It would certainly explain the size of the timepieces he carried around his neck… To be fair to the guy, he did at least confuse Miley with someone that was actually at the festival; Gwen’s band No Doubt were performing there, ahead of the release of their sixth studio album this week.

Their meeting certainly made for awkward viewing (even if it’s pretty entertaining). Huffington Post have hosted a video that shows Flavor walking away from their photo opportunity, telling his entourage how glad he was to have met Gwen Stefani. A lady then whispers to him that it was in fact Miley Cyrus that he just got up close and personal with. “I know that's not Hannah Montana,” he protests, before going back and checking again and explaining that he’s a fan of Miley’s too. We reckon he just about managed to save face, there.
