Actress Fran Drescher has penned a children's book.
The Nanny star's Being Wendy is a book that encourages kids to embrace their talents and interests, and, for Drescher, the story's message hits close to home and mirrors her own upbringing.
She tells the New York Post, "I felt I had a message to share... Be who you are... The story was inspired by my own childhood. I was a young person with extremely diverse interests which was very atypical of the world I grew up in...
"This is a story about a girl named Wendy who doesn't want to be just one thing, kind of like me... Kids should be encouraged to follow their passions, try new things and explore."
Drescher's book will hit stores in November (11).
