Frances Bean Cobain has filed for divorce from her husband of 21 months, Isaiah Silva, it has been reported.

The Los Angeles Superior Court has confirmed that Frances has split from her husband, the 31 year old frontman of rock group The Eeries. Their separation date is listed as February 24th, 2016, less than two years after they got married in June 2014.

Court documents obtained by gossip site TMZ also apparently indicate that the 23 year old daughter of Courtney Love and the late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain is moving to ensure that Silva doesn’t have any claim to her father’s estate, valued at around $450 million.

The filing reportedly asks that all pre-marital assets, including her inheritance, be listed as separate property when it comes to division of assets. She is, however, willing to pay spousal support, according to Us Weekly.

The pair had been in a relationship since 2010, though they have kept extremely low-profile with few public appearances together. Around 15 guests were invited to the wedding, but not her mother Courtney, from whom she had endured years of estrangement.

They reconciled publicly in December last year, just shy of Frances’ 23rd birthday. Frances was one of the executive producers of Brett Morgen’s 2015 documentary Montage of Heck about her father.

She told an audience at the movie’s premiere in 2015: “I didn't know Kurt but I think he would have been very proud of this film… …it touches on some dark subjects, but at the end of the day, I think this film provides fans of Nirvana or not fans of Nirvana a basic understanding of who Kurt was as a human being.”
