Frank Ocean’s much-anticipated second album Boys Don’t Cry could finally be released on Friday. The follow-up to 2012’s Channel Orange has been teased for months, but reports now suggest that the wait could finally be over.

The New York Times reports that the album will drop on Friday through an exclusive deal with Apple Music, according to a person with knowledge of the release plans. The release is also expected to include a major video and a printed publication, also called Boys Don’t Cry, that will be for sale at Apple stores.

The album will remain exclusive to Apple Music for just two weeks before becoming more widely available, according to the NY Times’ anonymous source. A spokesman for Ocean’s label Def Jam, did not immediately respond to the NY Times for comment.

The album will be Ocean’s first since his critically acclaimed 2012 debut Channel Orange, which was nominated for six Grammy Awards, winning best urban contemporary album. He first announced work on the album three years ago and revealed its title last year.

Late last month fans started buzzing that the release could be imminent after Ocean uploaded an photo of a library card stamped with several crossed-out dates and the title Boys Don’t Cry in small print at the bottom. Then on Monday his website changed to show a livestream of the rapper carving wood while an instrumental played on loop.
