The 25 year old’s death was confirmed yesterday (6 September) with a joint statement from the group's record label and management team.
A post on the girlband’s official Twitter account reads, "Words cannot express the depth of our loss, Simone’s incredible talent was only surpassed by the size of her heart.” Adding that they will, ” carry her memory with us in everything we do.”

Simone Battle reportedly committed suicide. The news of her untimely death broke yesterday (6th September) but the circumstances surrounding it are still hazy.
The 25 year old singer is said to have passed away early on Friday morning.
Simone Battle, a member of girl band G.R.L and a former contestant on the US ‘X-Factor has died at the age of 25.
The tragic news was confirmed in a joint statement released by Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin, Kemosabe Records, and RCA Records which read, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
