Gabourey Sidibe lives the life of a "normal working actress".

The 'Big C' star - who was nominated for an Oscar in 2010 for her role in drama 'Precious' alongside Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz - confesses life has continued as normal since she became famous but she still finds it strange people know who she is.

She said: "My life is kind of normal as a working actress. It's not normal for a teacher or a student but it's kind of normal for a working actress.

"More people know than I know them and that is not normal. It certainly is strange and it's not without its scariness."

The 27-year-old actress is most scared of the fact she can say she has "fans" and is a "celebrity" when she considers herself no different from anyone else.

She added: It makes me feel strange to say that I have fans and it makes me feel strange to say that I'm a celebrity, because I don't believe that I am.

"I just think that I'm a girl with a job that everyone can see."
