Diana Prince is one of the Amazon warriors of Themyscira, a tribe of women with extraordinary power. There is no-one quite as extraordinary, however, as Diana herself. After being shown the noble Sword of Athena as a young girl, our heroine becomes determined to be the one who wields it, training in all areas of combat. When her incredible powers start to shine through, her mother Hippolyta does not want to tell her the truth about her creation. As oblivious as she is to the secrets of her birthright, she becomes determined to save the world after rescuing a marooned military pilot named Steve Trevor. When he informs her of the danger that her kind faces, she insists on going with him to win the war and save the world. Of course, London is hardly the place she wants to be, but she finds new friendships in Steve and his quirky secretary Etta Candy.

Superman is missing from the 'Justice League' trailer.
The first major trailer for 'Justice League' has finally dropped and it tells us a lot about what to expect in the forthcoming DC movie. Following directly on from 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', we meet the majority of the team and the dangers they're set to face.
[L-R] The Flash, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman make up the Justice League
We see Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) having taken a long journey somewhere, most likely to track down Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) in an isolated fishing village. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is the first to unite with Bruce as he gathers the Justice League, both spurred by the brave sacrifice of their friend Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is a little shocked to be recruited, especially while he's got his own problems to deal with such as his father Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) being in prison.
Ewen Bremner feared he would have to hide his Scottish accent in 'Wonder Woman'.
Ewen Bremner feared he would have to hide his Scottish accent in 'Wonder Woman'.
The 45-year-old actor is set to star in the forthcoming superhero film alongside Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, and although Bremner's role has been kept under wraps, he has admitted he thought he would have to ditch his twang to suit the movie, and was ''shocked'' to learn he didn't actually have to try his best to not let any hints of his mother tongue slip through.
Speaking to Metro newspaper about the movie, he said: ''I don't know, because it is really under wraps. I was shocked they let me be properly Scottish in it. I was expecting the Americans would ask me to gentrify my accent a little bit, or the humour even, but they let me go as far as I liked. I had plenty of fun on it.''

Hollywood superstars in the making.
Every year a deluge of new talent floods the movie theatres and 2016 was no different. Some stars, the likes of Sofia Boutella ('Star Trek Beyond'), Travis Fimmel ('Warcraft'), Zoey Deutch ('Why Him?'), Jack Huston ('Ben-Hur') and Aidan Turner ('Poldark'), are the kind of actors that have been around for a while, but have only this year managed to land leading roles. Others have broken through with immense force after almost total obscurity:
Millie Bobby Brown at the 68th Emmy Awards
1. Millie Bobby Brown - Matt and Ross Duffer couldn't have imagined the kind of success their 80s inspired supernatural TV series 'Stranger Things' would have, but arguably the world's favourite thing about that show is Millie Bobby Brown, who plays telekinetic labrat Eleven. For a while it was up in the air as to whether or not she would return for the second series given the mysterious fate of her character in the first season's final episode, but recent confirmations suggest we haven't seen the last of her.
There's no stopping this extraordinary superheroine.
Wonder Woman displays the extent of her powers in the new trailer for the film, which delves into Diana Prince's desire to end the War and hints at a terrible personal tragedy. It's set to be one of the most important upcoming DC films yet, apart from perhaps 'Justice League'.
Wonder Woman hits theatres in June 2017
We learnt in the 'Wonder Woman' Comic-Con teaser that Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) was a goddess who had never seen a man before, but nonetheless left with US Army pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) to help him fight World War II when he washed up on the shores of her Amazonian island. We saw soldiers invade her island and the Amazons fighting back, Diana in her armoured costume using her Lasso of Truth and later crossing No Man's Land like a boss.

Also known as Wonder Woman.
We may have already seen Diana Prince in action following 'Batman v Superman', but this ultimate female heroine has been given even more of a makeover ahead of the spin-off movie 'Wonder Woman''s release next year starring Gal Gadot.
Wonder Woman to hit theaters next summer
In new images released of Wonder Woman in all her costume glory, she's giving us a kind of Jedi-Spartan vibe. It's far from the bright red and blue colours of former times; after all Diana Prince has been around for thousands of years, that means her outfit has to look just as ancient.

Gadot is being directed by Patty Jenkins in 'Wonder Woman’s' first stand-alone movie.
Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has dished on why she thinks it was important that a female director oversaw the heroine’s big screen debut. While more female directors are always needed in Hollywood, Gadot believes a woman behind the camera was particularly necessary for this film.
Gal Gadot has said it was important that Wonder Woman had a female director.
When asked how important was it for her that a woman direct the movie by Entertainment Weekly, Gadot said: “I think it’s important. It’s a story about a girl becoming a woman. I think only a woman, who has been a girl, can be able to tell the story in the right way.”

According to The Wrap, the actor has signed a multi-picture deal with the studio, which includes sequel options. Clark Kent is a reporter for the Daily Planet in his everyday life, but a much hated alien powerhouse beneath the earthly guise. As Superman he has the power to destroy the world and, even though he would never dream of it, the world wants him gone. Even his efforts to become the ultimate hero go unappreciated, in particular by his Gotham rival Bruce Wayne; a billionaire vigilante known as Batman by night. He believes Superman is to blame for all the horror the Earth has been faced with, and vows to take him despite his limited abilities. It isn't long before the two are forced to unite, however, in order to protect the citizens of Earth from a real threat that could prove to thrust the planet into oblivion.
After debuting at Comic Con over the weekend the extra-long Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer is finally online.
A new full length trailer for the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has just hit online, offering fans their best look yet at the upcoming clash between the two comic book titans. Debuting at Comic Con this weekend the trailer was well received by fans who found plenty to talk about including Jesse Eisenberg's menacing Lex Luthor.
The nearly four minute trailer showcases Ben Affleck's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman, while also heavily featuring Eisenberg as the villainous Luther. It also offers our first real look at Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jeremy Irons as butler Alfred Pennyworth, while also including Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
When an alien lifeform crashed to Earth decades ago, no one noticed. When his own kind came after him, the fate of the world was threatened. When he saved mankind, they looked up to him like a God. But times have changed, and people have died since his arrival. The world has had enough of the "false God" Superman (Henry Cavill), but there is already another hero in the world. In Gotham City, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) has spent years and billions of dollars making himself into the greatest detective and the finest crime fighter. But the Batman knows that one does not simply arrive to a thunderous applause. He has earned his role as judge and jury, and it is up to him to stop the Man of Steal.
Batman and Superman go head to head in the new trailer for 'Dawn of Justice'.
The first trailer for the DC crossover movie 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' has finally arrived - and it's difficult to tell who's most formidable, despite the fact that one superhero has earned his power, and the other was gifted at birth.
'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is coming next year
Zack Snyder is returning with the sequel to 2013's Superman adventure 'Man Of Steel', and it's our first taste of The Justice League as they hit theaters for the first time. While the plot remains unknown, we can gather that the world has become disillusioned with Clark Kent (Henry Cavill); mistrusting of him given humanity's history with power and corruption, and fearful that their faiths are being questioned.
Zack Synder has shared the real version of 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' after a pirated version, filmed on a mobile phone, leaks online.
Director Zack Synder did not despair when the exclusive trailer of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice was leaked online on Thursday. The grainy footage, shot on a mobile phone camera, immediately went viral and certainly did not do justice to the true version.
Ben Affleck as Batman in Batman v. Superman.
The upcoming superhero movie stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
Director Michelle MacLaren has left the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, due to what’s been described as ‘creative differences’. The director was set to helm the superhero flick which is due out in 2017 and stars Gal Gadot in the title role.
Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman in the now director-less movie.
“Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together,” the studio said in a statement. No further details on what could have cause the split have been given, but The Hollywood Reporter has drawn comparisons to Patty Jenkins leaving Marvel’s Thor 2 in 2011.
Eisenberg has gone bald for Zack Snyder’s upcoming superhero film.
In a year from now we’ll probably be queuing outside a movie theatre eagerly awaiting our first viewing of Zack Snyder’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. But for now, we’re just making do with whatever scraps of information we can get on the upcoming superhero epic. So after months of speculation about the state of cast member Jesse Eisenberg’s hair, today we’ve been given our first official look at the actor as the bald supervillain, Lex Luthor.
'Game Of Thrones' star looks forbidding in Zack Snyder's first image.
Fans were given a first look at the forthcoming film incarnation of Aquaman, with director Zack Snyder reveals just how menacing Jason Momoa will be as the sea-dwelling DC Comics superhero as 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' gets well under way.
Jason Momoa is Aquaman
It's all about DC at the moment with Henry Cavill's Superman having become a huge hit in 2013's 'Man Of Steel' and 'Fast And Furious' star Gal Gadot being announced as Wonder Woman in Michelle MacLaren's upcoming movie. Zack Snyder is bringing them all together in a long-awaited DC superhero crossover movie entitled 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice', and 'Game Of Thrones' star Jason Momoa is just the latest announcement for the cast - as fish-friendly King of Atlantis, Aquaman.
‘Wonder Woman’ finally has a director and what’s more, she seems like a perfect fit.
After weeks of speculation Michelle MacLaren has been confirmed as the director for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Emmy award winning 'Breaking Bad' director has now officially signed on the helm the superhero flick which is due for release in 2017.
Michelle MacLaren may have found her movie project in the form of the Wonder Woman movie.
Michelle MacLaren, the producer and director on Breaking Bad, is in negotiations to direct the Wonder Woman spin-off movie, starring Gal Gadot. The Warner Bros DC Comics movie has a tentative release date on June 23, 2017.
MIchelle MacLaren [R] is likely to helm the Wonder Woman movie
Plot details for Wonder Woman remain scarce, mainly because Gadot's character will make her first appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opens in March 2016. It's likely that the events of that movie - which also stars Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck - will likely determine the angle of the standalone film.

Warner Bros is going big on DC Comics movies, right up until 2020.
In a huge announcement of forthcoming releases, Warner Bros has bet big on DC Comics-branded movies to follow its marquee release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2015. That movie, starring Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, will be followed by The Flash with Ezra Miller, Aquaman starring Jason Momoa and a Wonder Woman movie with Gal Gadot.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will start a slew of comic-book movies from Warner Bros over the next six years
Gadot was the surprise choice for the female role in Dawn of Justice though Warners are clearly buoyed by the Israeli actress's performances in the forthcoming movie. Maybe Marvel should take note and finally announce a Black Widow movie with Scarlett Johansson.

Are Scoot McNairy socks a green screen for The Flash? Or just a weird fashion statement?
With Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman all making solid appearances in 2016's 'Batman v Superman' movie, we can't help but wonder who else will be joining the Justice League. Right now, our bets are on Scoot McNairy as The Flash.
Scoot McNairy to play The Flash?
The casting announcements for Zack Snyder's 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' have been both thoroughly exciting and extremely surprising. Of course, we knew Henry Cavill would return as the Man of Steel, we spent hours pondering who could play Wonder Woman before Gal Gadot was chosen and we were pleased on the announcement of Ben Affleck taking over Christian Bale as the Dark Knight. Rumours are still circulating that Jason Momoa might be joining the team as Aquaman, but the thing we're most excited for at the moment are recent whispers of Scoot McNairy taking on The Flash.
Batman v Superman has been brought forward, to avoid a battle with 'Captain America 3'.
Warner Bros has brought forward Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - the follow-up to Man of Steel with Ben Affleck playing the Caped Crusader - to March 25, 2016. The movie had previously been set to open on May 6, 2016 - the same day as Marvel's 'Captain America 3'.
In truth, those dates were never going to remain fixed and it was Warner Bros that decided to make the first move (though it's likely the studios came to a mutual agreement). The studio has also revealed plans to release new DC Comics-based movies on August 5, 2016, June 23, 2017, November 17, 2017, March 23, 2018, July 27, 2018, April 5, 2019, June 14, 2019, April 3, 2020 and June 19, 2020.

Welcome to the gun show, aka Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman look.
Oh, hey Marvel, good luck trying to top DC’s Comic-Con panel this year. On Saturday, the crowd in Hall H got their first glimpse of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice film. And it was cool.

Your weekly dose of Justice League news. With the release date two years away, Warner are beginning the steady stream of teasers.
Hello, remember that ill-advised attempt at a Justice League franchise Warner Bros. is still pushing at? If so, then you may be interested in seeing a sneak peek at Henry Cavill, being his Supermanliest in the upcoming movie. The photo comes almost two months after director/Hollywood golden boy Zack Snyder tweeted the first picture of an oh-so-moody Ben Affleck as Batman. This time, it’s an oh-so-moody Cal-El. Check out the photo below.
The cast of the 2016 movie - and a possible "Justice League" - is shaping up.
It has been confirmed: DC now has its Aquaman and it’s none other than Jason Momoa. The news that Momoa will play the DC Comics superhero Aquaman in both the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and its sequel Justice League was confirmed by Variety, after months of heavy speculation.
Momoa cleverly brushed off the Aquaman rumors, right until his contract was confirmed.
Back in December, it was reported that Momoa was in talks to play Aquaman, in addition to the already announced main cast, which includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor (that announcement raised a fair few eyebrows) and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
In the battle of the superheroes, Marvel are currently an evil genius.
An official, standalone Justice League movie has been confirmed. It will follow 2016’s hugely anticipated battle between Batman and Superman in what has been dubbed either ‘Man of Steel 2’ or ‘Batman v Superman’, set to commence in 2016.
Henry Cavill as Superman in 'Man of Steel'
Zack Snyder will pilot the project, which kicks off an important period for Warner Bros in the Superhero space. Marvel’s dominance of the genre is plain to see, with The Avengers breaking box office records and finding itself in illustrious, billion-dollar company amongst the all time box office grossers list.
The actor has a minor part in Batman Vs. Superman, to be expanded later in the series.
The Batman vs. Superman movie casting may have had comic book fans on the brink of desperation up until now, but it looks like Zack Snyder and Co. may have gotten one thing right. Meet your new Cyborg – Ray Fisher. Now, Fisher is primarily a stage actor, although that has been known to work for past superhero movies and he has been cast as Victor Stone. That’s all we know at this point, according to Variety. Early reports claimed that Fisher was being considered for a part in Snyder's Star Wars Episode VII, but it looks like he was transferred to another big-budget Snyder production.
Fisher's background is mostly theatrical.
The character has a minor role in Batman vs. Superman, but this casting and Fisher’s appearance are intended to pave the way for future appearances by the superhero within the Justice League franchise that Warner Bros. is setting up for. A little background on Cyborg: the character made his first appearance in 1980's "DC Comics Presents" #26. In the "New 52" continuity, he's a high school athlete who, after getting caught in a S.T.A.R. Labs explosion, is given powerful bionic abilities that lead to him becoming a founding member of the Justice League.

The multiple movie deal could mean two solo Wonder Woman outings in addition to 'Batman Vs. Superman.'
Gal Gadot has signed to play superhero Wonder Woman for three movies, confirms Variety. The Israeli actress and model has been cast in the iconic comic book role by DC Comics and Warner Bros. and will first appear in Zack Snyder's upcoming 2016 hero face-off, which is currently titled Batman Vs. Superman.
Gal Gadot Has Signed To Play Wonder Woman For Three Movies.
28 year-old Gadot will bring Wonder Woman to the big screen for the first time alongside Henry Cavill, who'll reprise his Superman role, as well as the recently-cast Ben Affleck as Batman. Gal's three picture deal will reportedly be fulfilled with a Justice League movie and a Wonder Woman standalone film.
The 'Superman vs. Batman' movie has been put on hold for 9 months
It seems as though we'll have to wait a bit longer to see Ben Affleck in tight spandex pants, sharing screen time with Henry Cavill's equally tight spandex pants. DC were looking to launch their own multi-hero film franchise with the release of the Man of Steel sequel, working under the title of 'Superman vs. Batman,' in July 2015, however a recent announcement from the studio has said we'll have to wait a little longer.
The first Man of Steel was a hit and the sequel promises to be even bigger
Warner Brothers revealed on Friday (17 Jan.) - via The Hollywood Reporter - that it planned on holding back on the Man of Steel sequel until 6 May, 2016, with the studio's prequel of Peter Pan - titled Pan - replacing the initially planned 17 July, 2015, release date. The studio did not give any reason as to why the films were trading release dates, however has been suggested that Warner Bros. wanted a May release for the superhero film owing to the month's tendency to yield higher box office returns in recent years.

The actor could be set to appear in a superhero action movie.
Joaquin Phoenix could be the next actor to be announced for the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman movie, scheduled for 2015. The movie will see Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman go head-to-head for the first time on film. If the rumour is confirmed, Phoenix will join Cavill and Affleck as well as Amy Adams' Lois Lane and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.
Could Joaquin Phoenix Play Lex Luthor?
Fans of the 39 year-old Walk The Line actor won't be used to seeing Phoenix star in such big-name, huge budget action blockbusters which means the Batman Vs. Superman movie will be an intriguing change of role for the reclusive star. According to sources speaking to Variety, Phoenix is being linked to the movie as the film's antagonist, probably Lex Luthor.
