Tweet: "A visionary. A man of peace. A friend of all people. Goodbye dear Shimon, your memory is cherished and your legacy lives on." Israeli actress Gal Gadot pays tribute to Shimon Peres, one of the last surviving founders of her homeland, who passed away on Wednesday (28Sep16) in Tel Aviv, almost two weeks after suffering a stroke.
Quote: "My mother was a gymnastics instructor, so I was encouraged to do a lot of sports. I danced for 12 years - and I'm pretty tall, so I enjoyed playing basketball as a teenager. I couldn't shoot very well, but I was aggressive on defence! I also played volleyball... I broke almost every finger on both hands, but I love it." Actress Gal Gadot's active past came in handy as she trained for her first outing as the new WONDER WOMAN in upcoming superhero movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Quote: "She is the ultimate symbol of strength. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd grow up to be in a movie playing someone who influenced as many women as she has." Gal Gadot still can't believe she's portraying Wonder Woman on the big screen.
Quote: "After they asked me here, in Israel, if I have eating disorders and why am I so skinny - they said my head was too big and my body was like a broomstick - I can take anything. It's just empty talk. I understand that part of what I'm doing means being exposed. And part of being exposed is being under fire." Actress Gal Gadot brushes off criticisms about her thin frame.
