Singer Gary Barlow has whirled his fans into a sudden frenzy of excitement after it was announced that not only does the former Take That singer have an album on the way, there's also a full tour planned. For those who are impatient and don't want to wait all the way until November 25th's Since I Saw You Last release, Gary will be dropping a brand new single the week before, with 'Let Me Go' due out on the 17th November.

It'll Be A Barlow Invasion!

The new studio material as well as the solo live tour will be Barlow's first efforts in 14 years. He has gone solo before but has spent most of his time and efforts with his boyband, Take That, who have enjoyed a rekindled success in recent years. Barlow had been taking time out of making his own music to nurture talent on the ITV's The X Factor where he currently judges scores of hopeful British talent alongside Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.

Barlow made sure that the announcement of his new album's details was as inclusive as possible for his fans, utilising Twitter to get the buzz going and allow his devotees to contribute something very special to the album artwork. On Sunday, Barlow's followers were asked to tweet @GaryBarlow using the hashtag #GBSOLO, which began to trend. Each tweet added a fan's profile picture to the artwork page and revealed a small portion before finally being fully unveiled as a whole piece.

It has also been confirmed that new album track 'Face To Face' will welcome the distinctive efforts of one very special British singer/songwriter: none other than Elton John. Written by Barlow, the track will be a duet between the pair and we can't wait to see what that entails for two of the country's biggest pop talents.

What can we expect from Since I Saw You Last's lead single, 'Let Me Go'? Well we're told that it'll be underpinned by an acoustic melody that will form the backdrop to one of the year's catchiest pop choruses. The accompanying music video was filmed on the streets of New York City and was directed by Ben Winston who worked with Gary on the Diamond Jubilee documentary Gary Barlow: On Her Majesty's Service.
