Gary Barlow ''couldn't care less'' if his new album doesn't sell well.
The Take That leader is releasing his first solo record in 14 years - titled 'Since I Saw You Last', and including first single 'Let Me Go', which was debuted this morning (04.10.13) - but says he isn't worried about it being a commercial success.
He told London's Evening Standard newspaper: ''I've got to do this record. I can't go all through my life and never do something by myself again. Lyrically, musically I'm in a good place. I've enjoyed the process and it's got positive feedback as well.
''This is going to sound wrong, but I couldn't care less. I'm not looking to sell ten million albums. I'm 42, my biggest material's when the band [Take That] releases something, and I'm just a fifth of that.
''I want to sell enough records to be able to maybe do another tour, to be able to return to this in five years, to earn back the money we've spent making it. That'll do.''
'Since I Saw You Last' will feature a duet with legendary singer Elton John, written by Gary, titled 'Face To Face'.
Gary wrote all the tracks for 'Since I Saw You Last' in London and recorded them between his own Future Studios and producer Steve Power's TOP Studios, with string arrangements recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
Gary will also take the album on tour in the UK, throughout April next year, with tickets going on sale on October 11.
