Grieving Gary Barlow has pulled out of his promotional commitments on the U.K. version of The X Factor following the loss of his daughter.
The Take That star's wife, Dawn, gave birth to a stillborn baby, named Poppy, on 4 August (12), but the singer managed to put the tragedy behind him to go ahead with the band's performance at the London Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday (12Aug12).
However, Barlow has now scrapped his planned work with The X Factor this week (beg13Aug12) to recover from his loss.
He will miss the new series' official launch in London on Thursday (16Aug12), when his fellow judges Louis Walsh and Tulisa Constostavlos will begin work with new panel member Nicole Scherzinger.
A spokesman for the show tells Dailymail.co.uk in a statement, "Due to personal circumstances Gary Barlow won't be attending the press launch for The X Factor this week but he has been in touch with production to wish everyone well."
