Shamed pop legend Gary Glitter has been given permission to take a vacation after a ban on the convicted paedophile travelling abroad was lifted.
The glam rock icon was hit with a three-and-a-half-year travel ban in 2008 after he returned to the U.K. following his release from a three-year prison sentence in Vietnam for abusing two girls aged 10 and 11.
The court order ended this month (Nov11) and police decided not to apply for it to be renewed after ruling Glitter is no longer a threat to children, according to Sky News.
The network reports the shamed star, real name Paul Gadd, is planning on heading to France for a holiday. He must inform British authorities if he intends to be out of the U.K. for longer than three days.
