While promoting his latest movie Tomorrowland, former bachelor George has been gushing about his beautiful wife, who he deserves as, ‘one of the smartest people I've ever met’.

George Clooney will run the 2016 London Marathon after losing a bet with his friend, the former model Christy Turlington Burns, who completed the 26.2 mile course in under four hours on Sunday (April 26, 2015).

Clooney had said he would compete in the event should the former Calvin Klein model finish in under four hours, and Burns clocked in at three hours 45 minutes, leaving the Oscar winning actor with no option but to put his name down for the 2016 edition.

Celebrity self-importance time! George Clooney seems to have filed a restraining order against the rest of the world, with the news that the mayor of the Italian town where the actor owns two luxury villas has drastically raised the fine that can be imposed on members of the public getting too close to the properties.

According to the Telegraph, Roberto Pozzi, the mayor of the picturesque town of Laglio on the shores of Lake Como, confirmed that those who create “problems of public order” when gathering near either of his properties will be liable to a fine of 500 euros (or $550), nearly five times what it was before.

His previous Globes wins came for O'Brother Where Art Thou?, Syriana, Argo and Alexander Payne's The Descendants. He also received critical acclaim for Michael Clayton, Up in the Air and Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, as well as directing five movies including Good Night and Good Luck, The Ides of March and The Monuments Men.

George Clooney, the Oscar-winning American actor, has signed on to star in a special episode of ITV's 'Downton Abbey'. Clooney will play a visiting guest from the U.S who attends a wedding at the country estate.

The show will be broadcast in the UK at Christmas and was written as part of the charity fundraiser Text Santa, for ITV. A spokesman for the channel confirmed that Clooney had already filmed his scenes for the sketch but said he would not appear in a full episode. George Clooney has been left reeling in fury in a spat with The Daily Mail. The actor admonished the British tabloid for printing what he described as a "lie" regarding his relations with his fiancée Amal Alamuddin's mother, his future mother-in-law.

The Mail alleged that Clooney's fiancée's mother, Baria, had told "half of Beirut" that she was opposed the forthcoming wedding on religious grounds because she is a member of Lebanon's Islamic Druze community.

Clooney lashed out at the Mail, denouncing the newspaper for fabricating a story that he ruled to be "false" and "irresponsible." The incensed 53 year-old wrote "None of the story is factually true. Gravity has won a Golden Trailer award for the Trailer of the Year. The sci-fi film was voted the best trailer out a wide variety of films nominated for the various Golden Trailer awards. Gravity's trailer also won the award for Best Thriller Trailer.

A large portion of the world's female population issued a loud cry of envy this week when it was confirmed that actor George Clooney had become engaged to lawyer Amal Alamuddin. It wasn't the coupling that came as a shock - the pair are said to have dated since last October - but the fact that the seemingly eternal bachelor and self-confessed anti-marriage movie star had decided to commit to someone he has barely been dating for more than six months.

The dashing Gravity actor is well aware of his female appeal and has rattled through a string of girlfriends and one wife to land his reputation for noncommittal womanising. He even ruled in 1995 that he wouldn't wed again because he "wasn't very good at it" and reportedly split from previous girlfriend, the former wrestler Stacy Keibler, because she allegedly wanted more from him than he felt comfortable giving.

After the tabloids have been buzzing about George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s engagement for a couple of days, the news is finally official. On Monday, Alamuddin’s law firm issued a statement congratulating the human rights lawyer.

Clooney and Alamuddin have been together since autumn last year.

"The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married," the firm said (quote via People).

George Clooney could be finally off the market!

The 52 year-old Hollywood actor is reportedly set to tie the knot with his British girlfriend Amal Alamuddin, according to People Magazine.

Clooney and the 36 year-old lawyer have been engaged "not that long ago, I think," a source told the magazine, who also noted that the pair don't have any wedding plans sorted yet.

George Clooney is known to be passionate about politics, but nearly getting into a fight is something new.

The 52 year-old Hollywood icon found himself walking out of a Las Vegas restaurant earlier this month after getting into a war of words with hotel magnate Steve Wynn.

The pair's heated exchange took place at Botero restaurant and began after President Obama's name popped up, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

After being introduced to professional wrestling by her then boyfriend, Stacy entered a contest in 1999 to find the newest ‘Nitro Girl’ for World Championship Wrestling, (WCW). The Nitro Girls were a dance troupe who entertained the crowd inbetween matches and sometimes took on an even larger role in the wrestling story lines. Stacy won the compeition and was given the name ‘Skye’ making her Nitro Girl debut in November 2009.
