Charlize Theron has described her difficult relationship with co-star Tom Hardy during the nine months they spent together filming Mad Max: Fury Road in 2014. Theron said the pair struggled with each other on set, but added that she believes it was probably more due to the characters they were playing.

“From what I hear, he’s not like THAT on every movie - I hear he’s had good experiences,” she told Wall Street Journal Magazine. "Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other.”

Before 'Batman V Superman', Wonder Woman's Difficult Journey To The Big Screen

Gal Gadot Zack Snyder George Miller Joss Whedon Megan Gale

Both Batman and Superman have seen various incarnations on the big screen, but in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice they will be joined by a superhero whose film debut is long overdue, Wonder Woman. The story of Wonder Woman’s journey to the big screen could be a movie in itself, as until now writers, directors and studios have tried and failed to make the heroine leap from comic books to film.

Wonder Woman’s live-action debut came in a 1974 TV movie starring Cathy Lee Crosby, but she wasn’t quite as comic book fans had expected. This Wonder Woman was blonde and had a very questionable costume, which featured some blue leggings and a red coat with blue and white starred sleeves.

Speaking ahead of the film's debut at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, Miller told the BBC: "Mel sat beside me at the premiere with Tom Hardy sat behind us and Mel is one of those people who can't censor himself. I kept seeing him chuckle. He's directing a movie in Australia now and would ask, 'Oh who's that actor?' He really loved it and it meant a lot to me and he gave me a hug."

George Miller, director of Mad Max: Fury Road, says he is "heartbroken" over the personal plight of Mel Gibson - the star of the original 1979 movie and its subsquent sequels. Miller picked Tom Hardy to lead the fourth film of the post-apocalyptic action franchise though has sympathy for Gibson, whom he describes as a "wonderful actor."

Australian director George Miller and Hollywood legend Mel Gibson both got their big breaks on the same movie, 1979's 'Mad Max.' This was also the beginning of a hugely successful trilogy, which the pair would work on.

Happy Feet Two Review

Very Good
Despite the fact that it's driven by a weakly developed plot, this penguin adventure is just as much fun as 2006's Happy Feet. It's a riot of colourful characters and vividly animated settings, with a few great songs thrown in to keep our feet tapping along.

Mumble (Wood) thinks he's inadequate as a father since his non-dancing son Erik (Acres) feels like such an outsider. So when Erik runs off to visit the guru Lovelace (Williams) and meet flying penguin star Sven (Azaria), Mumble follows.

Meanwhile back home, an ice-shelf collapse has trapped the entire Emperor colony, so now Mumble, Erik and Lovelace's colony must find a solution. Perhaps some passing humans can help. Or a gang of tetchy sea elephants. Or maybe it'll be down to two renegade krills (Pitt and Damon) who are trying to find their individuality.

Happy Feet 2 - Trailer & Featurette

While the Emperor penguins of Antarctica find their mate by singing their 'heartsong', Mumble is different. Instead of singing, he has a talent for tap-dancing and it was this that won the affections of his old friend Gloria. His unique gift also helped ban overfishing in Antarctica which saved the fish population from extinction.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Review

Good
Two men enter, one man leave!

Let's face it, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome isn't terribly memorable aside from its to-the-death cage battles, with Mel Gibson's road warrior doing a little battle for Bartertown (headed by a ridiculously over the top Tina Turner). It will all end as expected -- with a bunch of crazy car (and train!) stunts, but why subject us to Mad Max becoming a hero to a bunch of urchin children living out in the boonies? As Turner herself said, we don't need another hero.
