Country legend GEORGE STRAIT will wrap up his final tour at one of America's most impressive venues - the Dallas Cowboys' At&T Stadium in Texas.

The singer announced the extended dates of his two-year-long farewell tour extension on Monday (09Sep13) in Dallas, insisting he will retire from the road after the Texas show, which will be scheduled in the coming days.

The confirmed final shows of The Cowboy Rides Again trek will begin in Bossier City, Louisiana on 9 January (14), and end at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on 31 May (13). The At&T Stadium show will take place shortly after that.

Strait will be joined on the road by top-line opening acts, including Miranda Lambert, Martina MCBride, Merle Haggard, Jason Aldean and Sheryl Crow.
