You guys act like you all know him and you do not. Get a grip! He puts his pant's on like everyone else. If you do know him let him know he is turning into a damn snob!!! Because he is. Fame is getting to his head to damn fast. He needs to really slow his role and not forget who made him who he was today.

We've been loyal fans of Gerry since Dracula 2000 and his other films,etc...We are members of his fan club based from his wonderful website called GB.net...I'm so proud to say that I am one of the lucky fans who received acknowledgement letters from Gerry. We still support and admire him because inspite of his successful career, he is still the same down-to-earth Gerry we knew. Gerry is a unique, multi-talented, and a caring person. I do not care what other people say negatively about him but I think this guy is very awesome, naturally good-looking and although he has aged a bit, he still got that sizzling charisma and sex appeal that girls like me are so crazy about. Please do not change Gerry..we love you just the way you are! I love you FOREVER and ever...mmmmwahhh(Kisses)!!

Gerard James Butler is one of the "very few" men in this world who has a vast variety of talents. I have enjoyed each and every thing he has done in his career. From the short films, such as "Please!" to the present. He really seems to bring out the best in people around him. From what I hear from the people who have actually met this man, he is caring, attentive, polite, cheerful, funny, sexy and so very personable. If I ever had a chance to act with this man or even just to meet him, it would truly be an exhilarating experience. :) Jodie

I totally agree with the comments of ladyofthebronx. But the reason I admire this person, that I hope someday will do something for the benefit of those in need; is that he actually is a lawyer, he studied and graduated, then he decided to pursue an acting career.I believe he is a smart person, maybe a person that wouldn't like to have as a foe.As all human beings he has the right to have his privacy. And that's it Gerard Butler is a handsome, talented and smart actor. Good for him.

I don't know where to begin. I guess I will begin with the comment: "Gerard Butler is a magnificant actor with God-given talent." Too bad that some of his most beautiful work has never been shown here in the U.S. "Dear Frankie" and "Beowulf and Grendel," are two of them. Many of his fans drove to Canada to see "Beowulf." That's what kind of fans he has. Remember, fans bring in the MONEY.He has paid his dues many times over. "300" proves that he can no longer be denied the right to be called a STAR. Even a SUPER STAR. He has everything it takes to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest. He gets a lot of grief from those that are so jealous of this man. When you can draw women into a movie like "300" with all of the blood and guts, people have to know that there is more to this movie than just the fighting or the story. More of them are coming to see Gerry Butler than you can imagine. His fan base is growing day by day. The beauty of Gerry is that he has played so many characters, all different, that you could pass him on the street and never know him. Although with "300" this may be more difficult than usual, because it has made him a STAR. The Scottish brough doesn't hurt either. He is a good man, with a beautiful heart, a sense of humor and a wee bit of the devilish Scot in him.Well, maybe more than a little. He is charming and brings back the romance that women long for. A wink, a kiss on the hand and then there is the one perfect red rose. The perfect red rose is from "Phantom of the Opera." These things melt a woman's heart. I will never see a red rose that I won't think of Gerry Butler. He leaves with every character he protrays a part of himself. He makes it his own. I doubt that anyone will ever play any of the parts that he has taken on, because they belong to him now. Those that read this posting, if you have never seen him in a movie or in a mini-series on TV, go and rent one of his movies and see for yourself what makes him so unforgetable. He was born to be doing exactly what he is doing.I looked at my ticket stub to "300" yesterday. It was numbered "01." I thought how appropriate. I bought the first one and I enjoyed every exciting minute of it. Find out for yourself, go see Gerard James Butler on the big screen. I promise, you will not be sorry.Blessings,Lady Yvonne

Finally an actor worth watching and a genuine person.Tell his mum she did a good job from another mum her age.I have watched all his movies now and look forward to "300".SO far I like "Attila" best but all are very good.Very rare is an actor so a part of the one he portrays as Gerry is.I had given up on the newest crop of actors but see a great one in Mr.Butler.Keep it up Gerry.

Gerard Butler is incrediblely underappreciated in the entertainment industry and I hope their oversight is remedied sometime soon. In the meantime all of his ardent and loyal fans can only lend support and pray that some of the decision makers open up their eyes to what a great actor as well as wonderful human being he is.

Gerard Butler is a totally mesmerizing and incredible actor, and he rocked my world almost two years ago when I first saw Phantom of the Opera. I was stunned by his performance, his sexiness, his voice, his acting, his person. I am in my sixties, but he moves me like no actor ever has, and I feel like I'm twenty again! He is also absolutely one of the nicest, kindest, sweetest men ever, as I met him in Toronto at the premiere of Beowulf and Grendel (also an awesome performance). He kissed my hand and was totally kind and easy to talk to, when I could breathe that is! Watch out Hollywood because when Frank Miller's 300 is released, everyone will be blown away by Gerry! You are always our hero, GB.

I'm speechless. And if you knew me, that would be hard to believe. I saw Phantom of the Opera and I fell absolutely madely in love with Gerard Butler. I wouldn't care if he looked like the Phantom - it doesn't matter. Just his being, his soul, his mixed range of emotions - Lord, it is great just seeing a man who has emotions these days. I can barely rewatch the Phantom as I have to brace myself each time for the feelings of longing I get when I watch him in it. Not just the Phantom, even in Dear Frankline, Timeline, it is the same. As many have said, what a beautiful, talented actor/singer. One that Hollywood will never truly appreciate as he is in a category by himself - a man's man, woman's man. I can go on and on. All the other actors pale in comparison. Thank you Gerry's mom for producing such a wonderful human being as your son. I would love for him to be happily married someday but in the meantime, I love it that he temporarily belongs to those of us who adore him. Take care, our special one!

The movie The Phantom of the Opera was really... I don't know how to put it. Gerard plays the phantom the way it should be. I don't think anyone else would have done a better job. When I watched the movie it was breath taking. What makes him a good actor is that he really feels what that character is suppose to feel. Like the Phantom. Many tears, anger, jealously, many more. He has all of them. He was also so fine in that movie. After I watched that movie I stayed put for 6 more hours just watching the Music of the Night song. He sings like an angel. I just have to say if you havn't seen this movie, get down to the nearest movie store and rent it. He's fine.

I never had the chance to see the theatre version of phantom but recently bought the dvd. I can only say that I have been obsessed ever since. I can watch nothing else! I play the cd whenever I am away from the tv. Gerard Butler gave an incredible performance! His voice is magnificent and his sex appeal is over powering. He was the perfect choice for the phantom and I too would have chosen the phantom over the ordinary Raoul. His passion for Christine makes me cry. How could she have left him? I want to change the ending every time I watch it!

When I saw Gerard Butler in the Phantom of the Opera, I was totally blown away. I thought I was too old for teenage crushes, but little did I know what that incredibly handsome, sexy, talented man could to my romantic spirit. Despite what the critics have said about the movie, (what do they know),I thought it was one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. I had never even heard Gerard's name before and since then, I have researched his other films. It seems that most of them are released in Canada. When and why are they not released in the U.S.? The only other film I saw him in was that stupid Lara Croft thing. (I had to put up with Angeline Jolie for two hours and believe me that was almost painful.) The only reason I rented the film was to see what Gerry actually looked like. Wow! But he was maybe even more beautiful in Phantom, portraying so well that sad, unloved, rejected, evil man. He also can sing, no matter what anyone says. But his acting, his body language and his ability to take you to another world just can't be duplicated. I wish him the success he deserves and hope the American film industry recognizes the incredible talent he is and utilizes it. Also I hope his films become more available here in the U.S.

Having seen the film at local cinema just had to buy DVD. Cannot stop playing it! Find Gerard's phontom so compelling and heart rending. If I had been Christine I would have chosen the Phantom every time. My kind of guy! Sensitive, faithful, adoring and a Scorpion too, just like me.

When I saw Phantom for the first time I was in awe as to the beauty of Gerard Butler. I loved him in this movie and I look forward to seeing other movies that he has made. I am from New Jersey...I live now in California..So Gerard, I am not your LA type girl..I too love a good movie in front of the telly with a big bowl of popcorn. Much luck to you in your acting..Watch out for Hollywood...Stay true to yourself...and you will do well!

I've read the critics and yes had to laugh about some of the comments, but even so I enjoyed the film and found Mr Butler very attractive in his get up even when the first mask was ripped off and the second revealed, though the scanty hair was a bit of a turn off. However the heroine was a bit of a wuss, and she did seem hell bent on catching flies with her mouth hanging open half the time, still she looked better than I do in a flimsy negligee, and the hair dresser did a lovely job!It was an enjoyable watch for all that! Thanks to all the stars, especially Mr Butler.

I first noticed Gerard Butler as the Phantom in the angst-filled Phantom of the Opera. His emotion-laden song moved the audience to the point that no-one got up to leave the theater at the end of the movie - we all needed a few moments to compose ourselves! The film was cathartic to the point of being therapeutic in its direct address of alienation and rejection! It is no wonder that it had more than a 4-month run in theaters, with many fans viewing it multiple times. In Dear Frankie, Mr. Butler portrays an inscrutable Stranger with such quiet strength that his presence is felt even when he is off-screen.The uplifting message of the resilience of the Human Spirit is so heartwarming that despite kleenexes being advisable, audience members are invariably uplifted by the film experience and leave the theater with a smile on their faces. In another independent film, The Game of Their Lives, the Scottish thesbian affects an American accent to embody the heart (as the goalie) of a hastily put-together U.S. soccer team which scored a stunning victory over England in a 1950 World Cup match. Once again, the versatile actor carries the film; this time not only with his athletic prowess, but also with his indomitable spirit.I have since gone back to view all available Gerard Butler projects, and have not once been disappointed. Mr. Butler throws himself, heart and soul, into all his roles, and takes us along for the ride. It is simply breath-taking! I am looking forward to the premiere of Beowulf and Grendel, as I expect him to infuse new passion into the old Norse mythology.A few hours with Gerry is always time well-spent!

Gerard Butler is a wonderfully talented individual who stands out in every movie he is in. He has the ability to make each character real. He is passionate about his work and moves the audience to be passionate as well. Gerry has a huge fan base that supports the the individual as well as his talent. As the Phantom, Gerry held us spellbound and moved us to the depths of emotion. I first saw Gerry in Atilla, thought he was gorgeous and did a slendid job. And have seen everything since. I wish him well and hope his career continues to soar. I eagerly await the release of Beowulf and Grendel and all projects to come. He is handsome, can sing, act, make us laugh, make us cry, and he is humble to boot. It just can't get much better than that.
