Following the close call the White House and the President was exposed to at the hands of North Korean maniacs in 'Olympus Has Fallen', terrorists turn their attentions to the UK in the tense sequel appropriately (if not imaginatively) named 'London Has Fallen'. And Gerard Butler has returned.

If you weren't familiar with the plot of 'Olympus Has Fallen' or simply have it totally confused with 2013's other terrorism film 'White House Down' (don't worry, you're not the only one), then here's a brief overview: North Korean terrorists take President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) hostage, threaten to irradiate the US in a bid to unify Korea without any interruptions, Special Forces agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) comes in and saves the day with seconds to spare.

'London Has Fallen' follows a slightly different template. The British Prime Minister has died, with circumstances surrounding his death remaining an ominous mystery. His funeral is due to unite all the major world leaders in one place, and thus becomes the nation's biggest security operation in recent history. Predictably, the sensitive situation prompts yet another terrorist organisation - this time led by the elusive Barkawi, one of the FBI's most wanted - to devise a plot to assassinate the leaders of the world. Their number one target? President of the United States Benjamin Asher. Again.

However, this time his trusty aide Agent Mike Banning is once again heading the US Presidential detail after saving the country in 'Olympus Has Fallen', and he isn't about to let the President in harm's way a second time. But while protecting his subject, Banning has to find a way to save the UK from total annihilation and there's only one person who can help him; a feisty MI6 Agent played by Charlotte Riley who's suspicious of just about everyone. Vice President of the United States Speaker Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) is doing his best to diffuse the situation and negotiate with Barkawi, but could the governments of the West be seriously out of their depth this time?
