Entitled Song For Her, the track celebrates the Spice Girls 20th anniversary
The Spice Girls have recorded new music! But, alas, it’s not quite as good as fans old and new might have been hoping for. Reports have surfaced about a new single that three out of the five Girls - Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Horner - have recorded to celebrate the 20 year milestone of their first single, Wannabe.
Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton have reunited to pen a new song
Titled Song For Her, the track is firmly based as a Spice Girls tune and features the lyrics: "Wipe up your tears of doubt you have been crying, lift up your dreams feel like you’re flying, never forget the girl is the woman you are."
The newly formed trio - minus Victoria Beckham and Mel C - announced their reformation in an anniversary video message.
Speaking to the camera, Mel B told fans: "We’ve been thinking we have the best fans in the whole entire world and we want to celebrate and have a party.
"And when we do, you’re all invited."
A message at the end of the video read: "Happy 20th Birthday to all our fans. This is a celebration for you!
"We hope to tell you soon what you want. What you really, really want. #Wannabe."
Reports have surfaced that the girls are also planning a headline gig at London’s Hyde Park next summer after running out of time to book a venue for the 20th anniversary.
