Billed as one of the summer’s biggest cinema releases, we’ve heard surprising little about the highly anticipated Ghostbusters remake – until now. Sony has released a teaser for the cult franchise’s third instalment, with a full trailer due to drop next month.

On Sunday (February 14th), the studio put out a 28-second clip, in which none of the four female leads are featured. Instead, we see shots of armed police scrambling through the streets of New York to surround an unseen entity (another Marshmallow Man??), as the words ‘Who. You. Gonna. Call?’ appear on the screen.

At the end, a date of March 3rd is promised for a full trailer, ahead of a scheduled July 15th theatrical release later this year.

Directed by Paul Feig, who helmed Bridesmaids and Spy, the much-vaunted all-female reboot will star Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and ‘SNL’s Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, with Chris Hemsworth as a secretary!

Andy Garcia, 'The Wire's Michael K Williams, 'Saturday Night Live's Cecily Strong and 'Veep's Mike McLintock have all signed up for supporting roles, with the script being developed by Feig and ‘Parks and Recreation’s Katie Dippold.

Ever since the long-awaited three-quel was first confirmed back in October 2014, speculation has been rampant as what direction it will take. The project appears to have the blessing of those behind the two ‘80s favourites, with original cast members from the ‘80s Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts all confirming cameo appearances.

Aykroyd said of the re-boot last year: “In a way, his movie might be a little better than the first two because they can do more - CGI might be a little better. But also, you know, there might be more jokes in it. I'm really happy with what I'm seeing.”
