Glenn Beck - The American radio host and political commentator Glenn Beck says he will target liberal broadcaster Jon Stewart once he leaves his post at Fox, reports Msn News. Beck will end his Fox News talk show later this year after the program recorded declining ratings and an advertiser boycott.
The often controversial and outspoken media personality will continue his weekday radio show on Wibw Radio but has outlined his plans for a future outside of Fox's vision. The 37-year-old says he's developing "a first-rate research department" which will harness the "idle brains" of former Ceos and military personnel. Beck's political views have often been the subject of jibes from fellow broadcasters including Jon Stewart, but Beck says he plans to make sure "Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert do not occupy the space of comedy alone". Despite recent speculation that he is planning to develop a rival to 'Fox', Beck insists he has no intention of going up against his former employer. However, the 38-year-old has confirmed that he plans to move out of New York in order to "build what needs to be built", saying, "If you want to change the mainstream media, get out of New York".
As well as his radio and talk shows, Glenn Beck has authored six New York Times bestselling books and is the founder and Ceo of 'Mercury Radio Arts', a multimedia production company that produces content for radio, television, publishing, the stage and the Internet.
