Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord), Drax the Destroyer, Rocket, Gamora and Groot (well... Baby Groot) are back but this time they are not alone. They are joined by Gamora's cynical and formerly evil sister Nebula, initially as a prisoner but then as a fully-fledged member of the team. Ravagers leader Yondu Udonta also join them, though not without trying to kill them first, and a new face in the form of Mantis is also among the new arrivals. Mantis happens to be the adoptive daughter of Ego - a mysterious being who Peter meets on his latest quest, and discovers that he is in fact his father. The team come against plenty of adversaries on their new adventures, but nothing compares to this confusing and unexpected meeting.

Groot is doing his best to grow up, but he has a lot to learn now that he has been reborn as Baby Groot and that's something that is a permanent frustration for his partner in crime Rocket. Who's Your Daddy Trailer

Peter and Kyle Reynolds have always been close brothers, not only are they twins but a family loss at a young age also made them closer. The man are now grown up now and their mother (Helen) is about to re-marry. Her two sons travel to her wedding and she decides to tell her boys the truth behind what happened to their father.

From a young age Peter and Kyle have both believed that they lost their father to colon cancer and as such, Peter even formed his career around his father's illness as a way of dedication to his memory. What their mother tells them takes them both by surprise; she doesn't actually know who their dad is, he could be one of many people that she had a relationship with.

The brothers set off on a mission to find out who their dad really is, there's a famous sport star and a tattooed hothead (who Kyle feels is quite similar to Peter) both of whom might tell the brothers more information about their mom than they ever need to know.

Girl With All The Gifts Trailer

Melanie is no ordinary girl. She spends her days locked away in a cell and her only clothes resemble those of a prison inmate. On the few occasions she is let out of her cell, she must be secured into a reinforced chair with head, arm leg and feet restraints. Melanie isn't the only one who lives like this, she is part of a small class where each child is subject to the same treatment as Melanie. The children live on an army base and have been infected with a fungal disease that's spreading far and wide around the world. Whilst the children are infected, they also display human-like characteristics and emotions which is unlike the rest of the infected beings on roaming the outside world.

Outside of the army base, there are few who aren't infected. The soldiers, Dr. Caroline Caldwell and their teacher, Helen Justineau, are the only ones who come in contact with the children and they are subject to deeply disturbing tests. The only humane person in their life is their teacher, Helen. Though she knows how dangerous the children are, she still has affection for them and looks after them and teaches them to the best of her ability in such limited circumstances. Melanie and Helen are particularly close; out of all the children, Melanie appears to be the most adjusted and lashes out at humans less than the other children.

The army base finds itself under attack by some of the infected humans (known as Hungries) a battle breaks out between the humans and the mutated peers and Melanie and Helen find themselves thrown together. Melanie saves Helen from being attacked and equally, Helen protects her favourite student from the onslaught of Hungries.

The Oscar Winners That Never Were: 12 Stars Who Are Still Waiting

Academy Of Motion Pictures And Sciences Samuel L Jackson Gary Oldman Johnny Depp Glenn Close

That familiar anti-climactic feeling has hit following the 88th Academy Award winner announcements. That's the last we'll hear about last year's blockbusters and now we can look forward to another year of iconic filmmaking. Leonardo DiCaprio has finally landed his long overdue Oscar, but there's still a myriad of actors out there who are still patiently waiting.

Winning an Academy Award for Best Actor or Actress is one of the highest (if not THE highest) honours a filmstar can attain in their career, save for winning several. Even receiving a nomination makes you forevermore an Oscar-nominated actor. But how many stars out there are yet to receive this prestigious honour, despite their remarkable filmographies? The answer is too many to count, but here's our top 12:

Guardians Of The Galaxy Trailer

Peter Quill runs into some trouble when he discovers an unusual looking orb that happens to be hunted by the merciless admiral Ronan and his army of miscreants. He is an Earthling; an unusual race within his neighbourhood in which he grew up after being removed for his home planet as a child. Naming himself the Star-Lord, he likes to think he's one heck of a superhero - but he's about to meet his match (or should we say 'matches'?). After being arrested by Ronan's people, he is greeted by four other alien outlaws. First there is the enormous Drax the Destroyer who is determined to use his supernatural strength to avenge his murdered family; then there's cyborg Gamora, the daughter of Thanos (an even bigger villain in this story); Rocket, a psychotic gun-toting raccoon; and half-man half-tree Groot. They may be distrustful of each other, but they've got to stick together if they want to save the universe from certain annihilation.

Since when did superhero films have to be serious? Marvel apply comedy to comics with 'Guardians Of The Galaxy', which is based on the original comics by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. The movie has been directed  by James Gunn ('Super', 'Slither', 'PG Porn') and co-written by Nicole Perlman and is due for UK release on July 31st 2014.

As a child, he was taken from his home planet and forced to live around various alien races, but even he is in for a surprise when he is captured by merciless hunters led by the evil admiral Ronan after he tries to make off with an extraordinary orb. It is during his imprisonment that he meets four other intrepid outlaws. There’s Drax the Destroyer, a man of muscle hellbent on avenging the tragic murders of his family; Gamora, a green-skinned cyborg who is the rebellious daughter of Ronan’s boss Thanos; Rocket, a genetically modified raccoon with incredible firearm dexterity; and Groot, a half-man half-tree creature who knows little about the technological world. Despite their reluctance, the five must join together to save the universe from Thanos’ dastardly plans.

Kristen Stewart Thought People Would Find 'Camp X-Ray' Role Unbelievable

Kristen Stewart Chloe Moretz Juliette Binoche Glenn Close Michael K. Williams

Kristen Stewart will look to cast off the shackles of her Twilight past once more in the new film Camp X Ray. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week and has so far received relatively positive reviews (it currently holds an 8.1 rating on IMdb), yet Kristen has admitted that it is a film that she thought may bomb thanks to her unconvincing performance.

Camp X Ray
Kristen's performance has been singled out for praise by some critics

The actress spoke to MTV News this week about her concerns about the film, concerns that she was not a worthy enough actress to play the conflicted young soldier stationed at Guantanamo Bay who goes on to befriend an inmate of eight years. The young actress has admitted that during film and before the film premiered at the festival this week that she was worried people would struggle to buy into her character and that they were likely to write her off straight away.

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Is Chris Pratt The Next Big Hollywood Star?

Chris Pratt Kathryn Bigelow Osama Bin Laden James Gunn Dave Bautista Zoe Saldana Lee Pace Glenn Close Karen Gillan Benicio Del Toro John C Reilly Joel Edgerton Jack Huston Jim Sturgess Eddie Redmayne Joseph Gordon-Levitt Christian Bale

Chris Pratt, the 34-year-old actor who has bagged himself some pretty tasty roles in recent years, is bulking up for his role in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Pratt is the latest movie star to undergo a dramatic physical transformation and posted his progress in an Instragram photo this week.

It's not the first time the Parks and Recreation actor has changed weight for a movie role - he sported a hugely toned physique for his role as a member of Seal Team Six in Kathyn Bigelow's Osama Bin Laden movie 'Zero Dark Thirty' last year.

Benicio Del Toro Picked Up For 'Lead Role' In Guardians Of The Galaxy

Benicio Del Toro Glenn Close

Benicio Del Toro is the latest actor, and one of the biggest names so far, to be handed a role on the upcoming Marvel movie adaption Guardians of the Galaxy. The Oscar-winner's participation in the film was announced on Monday via Deadline.

The James Gunn-directed film is the latest Marvel franchise to make the move to the big screen, and already boasts a cast that includes Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker and John C. Reilly. It was announced last week, also by Deadline, that Glenn Close has also been chosen to appear in the film as a senior official in the Nova Corp, whilst Doctor Who's Karen Gillan will be portraying one of the film's villains. Del Toro's role is unspecified, although the actor has apparently been given a multi-film contract and is therefore expected to have a significant role in the film.

Marvel's insistance of mixing new and seasoned actors in their films is a tried and tested method, and one that has worked much to the advantage of films like Thor and The Avengers. It goes to show how seriously Disney and Marvel are taking the film, which is a wholly positive thing given how much it differs from previous films released by the studio being that GotG consists of characters largely unknown by the vast majority of audiences.

Albert Nobbs Review

Good
Based on a true story, this introspective film seems to suggest that these events aren't perhaps as extraordinary as they appear. But the strong premise is weakened by writing and direction that never get a grip on the story.

In 1898, Albert (Close) works at an upscale Dublin hotel, and no one suspects that he's actually a woman. Quietly going about his work while saving to open a tobacco shop, Albert is unassuming and relentlessly polite. Then he's asked to share his room with visiting painter Hubert (McTeer), who learns his secret and reveals one of his own: he's a woman too. But Hubert has managed to have a normal married life. This inspires Albert to pursue the hotel maid Helen (Wasikowska), which is complicated by her lusty relationship with handyman Joe (Johnson).

Evening Review

Good
Evening enjoys prestigious name recognition. It is based on a novel by Susan Minot, and adapted by Michael Cunningham, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Hours. The movie's cast is Dream Team caliber, from Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, and Vanessa Redgrave to Claire Danes and Toni Collette. And it marks Lajos Koltai's anticipated second film.

Tarzan (1999) Review

Very Good
Tarzan the Ape Man gets the Disney treatment this year. For some classic characters (Snow White, Bambi), the transition has been a positive one. For others (Pocahontas), it's been a disaster. Thankfully, Tarzan is among the former group.

The last time we saw Tarzan, he was saving a Lost City in the worst film of 1998 (shockingly titled Tarzan and the Lost City). The story is a bit more traditional this time, with Tarzan adopted by gorillas after his human parents are killed by a leopard. When he grows up, a group of British explorers stumble upon him, and after the "You Tarzan, me Jane" exchange, the British bad guy, Clayton, decides he's going to take all the gorillas back to Britain for sale. Adventure ensues, along with a love story and singing.

South Pacific (2001) Review

Bad
I mean this in the best possible way. Glenn Close has become an extremely handsome gentleman in recent years. That skanky wench from Fatal Attraction is long gone. Today we've got the freshly shorn, makeup-free star of Paradise Road and now South Pacific, a remake I don't recall anyone asking for.

Based on the classic musical play (and -- I didn't know this -- a James Michener novel), South Pacific is a Pearl Harborish tale of love found during World War II on a small island located somewhere you can probably figure out. There's intrigue and bombs a-droppin', but that doesn't mean there's no time for nookie!
