Saucy Irish comic Graham Norton tested the bounds of America's TV censorship laws last night (02SEP04) by flashing a photocopy of a woman's pierced genitals onto a jumbo-screen high above Times Square in New York.

The risque TV star came up with the naughty ruse when he discovered one of his audience members, who turned up for his THE GRAHAM NORTON EFFECT show, had pierced privates.

The girl, MONIQUE, agreed to take off her underwear and sit on a photocopier - so Norton and guest Jason Bateman could see what her piercing looked like.

But the cheeky host took the gag a little further when he beamed the image onto a big screen as part of an anti-George W Bush protest, with the words "Monique says 'Get Bush Out'".

Both the image on TV and the one flashed onto the big screen in Times Square were pixilated, so viewers and New Yorkers couldn't quite see Monique's pierced glory.
