Former Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart's legal woes have taken a bizarre turn after it emerged he's accused of beating up the owner of his tour bus.
The rocker, real name Michael Hartman, was left stunned when a warrant was issued for his arrest this week (beg10Sep12) amid allegations he assaulted a man at a concert in Harrodsburg, Kentucky earlier this month (Sep12).
Now editors at Tmz.com have reportedly obtained legal documents suggesting the alleged victim is the owner of a coach rented out to Hart, and claims he was attacked by the rocker on board.
A report on the website suggests the unnamed accuser told cops Hart's manager summoned him onto the tour bus for a "talk" but he was punched and shoved before being ordered off the vehicle.
Hart insists the allegation is "completely false and without any basis whatsoever".
