The American vocalist will appear at the ceremony at London's Bloomsbury Ballroom on 26 April (16) to receive the Impact Award, which is given to a jazz artist who has made an impression in the musical world beyond the genre.

Gregory, who achieved mainstream success last year (15) by featuring on Disclosure's dance hit Holding On, will also be debuting new music in a performance at the event.

He credits Jazz FM, the U.K. station behind the awards, with advancing his career because he was offered a guest slot on Disclosure's record after they heard him on the radio.

"Jazz FM got my name out there, and my sound, even to the point where Howard and Guy from Disclosure heard one of my songs on Jazz FM, and that's how they decided to call me and do the song that we did, which ended up being a number one dance song around the world," he says.

Other award winners, including the International Jazz Artist of the Year prize which Gregory won at last year's (15) bash, will be announced at the ceremony in April (16).
