Amid her bitter custody battle with Elon Musk, musician Grimes has flaunted her new relationship with music producer DJ Anyma by posting an image of them kissing with the caption: “Beauty and the Beast.”
Grimes has flaunted her new relationship with a music producer.
The singer, 36, born Claire Elise Boucher, who is embroiled in a child custody battle with her billionaire ex Elon Musk, 52, went public with the romance by sharing a slideshow of photos on Instagram that showed her kissing music producer DJ Anyma, 35, in front of a technicolour backdrop – with the caption: “Beauty and the Beast.”
Grimes did not tag DJ Anyma – an Italian born Matteo Milleri – in the post, but her fans quickly worked out his identity – with one saying on social media: “It’s @anyma they have music together and have performed together as well (fire emoji.)”
The New York-born DJ, who grew up in Italy, was previously married to Vittoria Ceretti, 25, who is now dating 49-year-old Leonardo Dicaprio.
It emerged in September he had split from the fashion model after three years of marriage.
Other Grimes fans praised her for taking a “step up” from Elon by dating the DJ, with one telling her online: “Girlie this is a HUGE step up from the wrinkled raisin from your past.”
Grimes and Elon were in an on-off relationship for four years before she confirmed in March 2022 they had split after they had their second child together.
Grimes then went on to briefly date activist and whistleblower Chelsea Manning, 36, but it was revealed in September 2023 she and Elon had secretly welcomed a third child in mid-June 2022.
The couple appeared to be co-parenting their kids – X Æ A-Xii, three, Exa Dark Sideræl, two, and 19-month-old Techno Mechanicus – after their break-up, but
Elon sued Grimes in September 2023 for the parental rights of their kids.
She hit back with her own suit days later and the legal battle has turned bitter as singer asked a judge to reject Elon’s lawsuit, which she labelled “inappropriate” and claimed the state of Texas should not have jurisdiction over their custody issues.
Grimes now wants their custody case tried in California, where she now lives, which legal experts have said may give her a bigger financial advantage.
