The Icy hitmaker was ordered to serve 39 months in prison last August (14) for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and the sentence was extended by three years in September (14) after he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault following a separate attack on a fan at an Atlanta, Georgia nightclub in March, 2013.

However, two of the hip-hop star's affiliates have since sparked rumours suggesting he has been granted an early release and will be back home on 11 July (15).

Atlanta DJ Bankhead shared a snap of his pal on Instagram.com on Saturday (22Jun15) and captioned it, "JULY 11 MY HOMIE BACK IN THE STREETS SALUTE (sic)", while producer Mike Will Made-It appeared to back up the news by taking to Twitter.com on Monday (22Jun15) to write, "#FREEGUCCI big dog coming home!!!"

Representatives for Mane have yet to comment on the claims. If the news is true, the rapper will regain his freedom days after the planned release of his Trapology mixtape on 1 July (15).

He had previously been expected to remain behind bars until 6 March, 2017.
