Guns N' Roses Announce Slane Castle Support Acts

Guns N Roses

GUNS N' ROSES are set to be supported by Otherkin during Not In This Lifetime Tour.

The rock band are reportedly set to be accompanied by the 'Ay Ay' vocalists, as well as Mark Langean and Royal Blood when they take to the stage at their sold-out gig at Slane Castle in the Republic of Ireland on May 27, which will mark the group's first return after 25 years.

And Lord Henry Mountcharles, who is known for setting up a variety of concerts at his home, is ''delighted'' with the line-up next month, the Belfast Telegraph has reported.

Guns N' Roses Booed As They Forget Which City They're Playing In

Guns N Roses Axl Rose

Reformed rock legends Guns N’ Roses were greeted with heckling and booing from an audience in Melbourne this week, as they took to the stage more than an hour late and got the name of the city totally wrong.

The American rock act are in the middle of the Asia / Oceania leg of their extensive Not In This Lifetime tour, which sees the so-called ‘classic line-up’ members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan sharing a stage for the first time since 1993.

However, when they called in at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday night (February 14th), they arrived late and greeted the crowd by shouting ‘Sydney’. Oops.

Guns N' Roses Go Global With Their 2017 Not In This Lifetime Tour

Guns N Roses

The recently reformed GUNS N' ROSES have announced a bunch of new dates for their Not In This Lifetime tour next year, with the event spanning North America, Europe and Asia. They have been on the road a lot already this year, playing throughout North and South America and singer Axl Rose breaking off for a spell to front AC/DC on their tour.

The tour includes their first appearance in the UK since 1993 and it also looks like they'll be in Europe and unoccupied on June 25th; that's the last day of Glastonbury Festival for those who didn't spot it straight away. Could they be the Sunday night headliners? It would certainly make sense after their stellar set at Coachella back in April.

Izzy Stradlin Slams Axl Rose's Comments About Guns N' Roses Reunion

Axl Rose Guns N Roses

Having marked himself out as the only original member of Guns N’ Roses not to participate in the current reunion, guitarist Izzy Stradlin has drawn speculation from Gunners fans as to why he’s refused to play along.

Finally, he’s broken his silence on social media by replying to lead singer Axl Rose’s comments last week, saying that the financial split for the tour wasn’t satisfactory for him.

Rose had told a Brazilian TV station on Tuesday, ahead of Guns N’ Roses’ string of South American tour dates, that 54 year old Stradlin just wasn’t up for it, and didn’t go into details except to imply that he was disorganised and unreliable.

At Least 30 Arrested At Guns N' Roses New Jersey Concert

Guns N Roses

GUNS N' ROSES fans in New Jersey had one heck of a party at the MetLife Stadium show on Saturday night (July 23rd 2016). In fact, at least 30 of them left the venue in handcuffs following a variety of arrests from solicitation to drug possession.

The Guns N' Roses 'Not In This Lifetime' tour is probably one of the most exciting band reunions ever, so it's no wonder people are letting the fun go to their heads. As Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan return to arenas, 30 people are forced to spend some time at the police station.

Guns N' Roses Detained For Gun Possession

Axl Rose Guns N Roses

GUNS N' ROSES were detained at the Canadian border last week after they were caught with a gun in their possession.

The hard rock band were stopped at the airport in Toronto last Friday (15.07.16) ahead of their gig later that day in the city in Ontario, and found with the weapon on them.

Frontman Axl Rose later told the audience at the gig held at the Rogers Centre: ''We weren't exactly arrested. We were detained. They [the custom officers] were very nice, they were very understanding. You know, it happens: You can forget you have a fucking gun. It wasn't my gun.''

Axl Rose And Slash Reunite For Guns N' Roses At Coachella 2016

Guns N Roses

It's official; GUNS N' ROSES featuring Axl Rose and Slash will re-unite for the 2016 Coachella Music And Arts Festival in April, marking their first performance together in twenty years. It's probably one of the most seminal reunions in rock history - and one that many thought would never happen.

There's been speculation of a reunion for weeks and now the news has finally been confirmed. Despite years of animosity between Slash and Axl Rose in particular, the pair have appeared to clear the air - at least for the sake of the band and their fans. Original bassist Duff McKagan will also join the group and, while there's no word yet on guitarist Izzy Stradlin, sources told Consequence Of Sound that Matt Sorum will replace original drummer Steven Adler.

Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has revealed he has “always regretted” not punching the Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose when he had the opportunity in the eighties.

In a new interview with Le Journal de Montréal, the rock veteran recalled an incident on May 16th, 1988 when the Gunners, then on the rise to their meteoric success with their debut album Appetite For Destruction, opened for the more established Iron Maiden in Quebec City in Canada.

Have Slash And Axl Rose Finally Buried The Hatchet?

Slash Axl Rose Guns N Roses

Guns ’n’ Roses frontman Axl Rose and former member Slash are reportedly on speaking terms again, nearly 20 years after the guitarist’s exit from the band. In an interview with Swedish website Aftonbladet, Slash revealed that the two have finally buried the hatchet, saying that the reunion was ‘probably way overdue’.

slashSlash has said he’s buried the hatchet with Axl Rose.

When asked during the interview if he and Rose had ‘made friends again’ Slash said, "It was probably way overdue, you know. But it's very cool at this point to dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long."

Is Axl Rose Really The World's Best Singer?

Axl Rose Guns N Roses Mariah Carey Prince Steven Tyler Kanye West

Axl Rose is infamous for many reasons. His constant late appearances, sometimes taking to the stage almost two hours after their billed start, means every recent Guns n’ Roses tour is dogged by disgruntled fans and a swathe of bad press. The singer is notorious for his cantankerous temperament which has resulted in numerous cancelled appearances and YouTube-worthy angry rants that would give even Kanye West’s irritable soliloquys a run for their money. He is so surrounded by criticism that it is no surprise the frontman’s vocal attributes are often overlooked.

Now, the singer has been named as the best vocalist of all time on a recently published chart, an accolade that is extremely misleading given the nature of the basis for which the award has been meted out to the rock legend. The award is based on versatility in vocal range rather than any consideration for tone, grain or strength which are commonly considered as the most endearing vocal traits.

Police Launch Probe Into Guns N' Roses Guitarist's Elaborate Proposal

Guns N Roses

Daren Jay 'DJ' Ashba, one of the many people brought in to replace Slash in GUNS N' ROSES, posted a photo on to his Instagram this Saturday (10 August) of himself and his girlfriend, Colombian actress and model Nathalia Henao, whilst kitted out in helicopter helmets and microphones. In his caption for the photo, the guitarist thanked the Las Vegas police department for "the most amazing" private helicopter tour over the city, adding that the ride finished in a field at police headquarters, where he proposed and celebrated with "a bottle of the bubble stuff."

As lovely and romantic as all this sounds, the Instagram message has begun to cause a stir because it seems to imply that the LVPD gave the guitarist some very special treatment rather than, you know, being police officers. The LVPD have now begun an enquiry into the incident to determine whether employees went too far in helping the guitarist propose to his girlfriend, especially considering that he isn't even Izzy Stradlin, never mind Slash.

Kings Of Leon Debut New Song 'Super Soaker' At Soaking Governors Ball [Video]

Kings Of Leon Caleb Followill Guns N Roses

'Sex On Fire' rockers Kings Of Leon performed at Saturday's (8th June) rescheduled Governors Ball - a festival on New York's Randall Island - in rather wet and windy conditions.

Their Friday festival appearance had been cancelled due to severe weather conditions but fans were relieved to learn of the rescheduled Saturday set, ahead of GUNS N' ROSES' headlining, in what was their first live concert in NYC for three years.

As fans slipped about whilst trying to dance in the mud, frontman Caleb Followill introduced the new song: "We're gonna play a new song we've never played before, so if we mess it up it's your fault."

Guns N Roses Knock 'Em Down At Brooklyn Bowling Alley Gig

Guns N Roses

Guns N’ Roses are usually known for two things these days: playing really really large places and turning up really really late to play them. So a bit of a surprise then to discover that Axel Rose and the gang turned all those pre-conceptions on their head in a Brooklyn Bowling Alley by, um, playing it.

It wasn’t quite the perfect game from Rose and co, as they turned up 15 minutes late on stage – but heck even that’s pretty excellent by their standards. The band played a special event at the Governors’ Ball gig at the Brooklyn Bowl to punters who’d paid $150 for the privilege and Rose was in his usual detached, holier-than-thou mood, wearing a fedora on stage that might possibly have been ill-advised.

No matter though because Guns N’ Roses brought the hits! Oh boy did they, including Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O’ Mine and –well – you don’t need us to write out their list of hits, you know them all. The room was tiny but that didn’t stop Guns N’ Roses attempt to make the same amount of noise as if they were playing one of the country’s largest stadiums, the reverberations probably giving them a whole score board’s worth of strikes without even bowling a ball (and there was none of that allowed either while they were on stage.) According to MTV, the biggest surprise was how professionally it all ran, the band ripping through their set, in spite of all the solos (all three guitarist got one.) Impressive stuff.

"Where's The Love Axl?" Slash's Wife Disappointed By Axl Rose's Jimmy Kimmel Interview

Axl Rose Slash Jimmy Kimmel Guns N Roses

In distinct contrast to his normal behaviour Axl Rose was a) on time and b) giving an interview, with Jimmy Kimmel. The GUNS N' ROSES front man hasn't given a live TV interview for 20 years, but now that he has a 12 date residency at The Joint at Hard Rock in Las Vegas is more than happy to do a little promo in aid of the performances.

Perla Hudson, the wife of ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, was disappointed by the interview and quipped about it in an interview with Us Weekly. She, like many other fans, was probably hoping for a more in-depth and revealing interview, rather than the brief and amusing chat with Kimmel that ultimately barely scratched the surface of Axl's interesting life and even more interesting psyche. "I was waiting for something enlightening and all I got was promotion for a show and his evident affinity for a chili burger," Hudson said.  "Where is the love Axl? And I stayed up for this? Sex, drugs and chili dogs. Long live Axl Rose. And a Halloween tree." Fixating on his weight, she said he has "evidently [had] way too many Tommy's chili burgers!" We can't disagree, he really is looking like a bit of a porker these days, in contrast to his high cheek boned and chiselled days of the early 90s.

Ah well, Axl turned 50 years old earlier this year, so gaining a few pounds is pretty much par for the course in middle age. In the interview he also expressed apathetic support for Obama, but that despite 'leaning' towards the Democrats, he won't be voting. A little odd given that his residency is titled "An Appetite For Democracy". Apathy, political contradictions and piling on the pounds, let's put it all down to creative licence. He's Axl Rose, he can do what he likes. The Guns N' Roses residency will begin on Wednesday 31st October 2012, with 11 futher days until November 24th of the same year.

First TV Interview In 20 Years Sees Axl Rose Back President Obama

Axl Rose Jimmy Kimmel Guns N Roses

The normally grumpy Axl Rose seemed pretty cheerful indeed as he appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, and as well he might! After all, this was the first televised interview the notorious front man of ageing rock and rollers Guns N’ Roses had given in more than 20 years. Rose was surprisingly smooth in the role as guest, and even kept his cheerful demeanour when Kimmel likened him to Santa Claus. That must be some sized dressing they’d put up for him backstage.

That said, Kimmel largely avoided the long, long list of things he could’ve asked Rose, such as, y’know, his embittered relationship with his former guitarist Slash, or his decision to reject his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction and then subsequently apologise for his no show, nor indeed what Guns N’ Roses were planning next. Kimmel might as well have just asked him “So, Axl, how are you?” and have that be that.

However, he did take the ribbing he got well, and in a moment that really did make him seem like Santa Claus, he puts Guns N’ Roses tickets under certain audience members seats, as well bringing along a burger truck and giving everyone gift certificates! Oh, and the title of this story? It’s because he told Kimmel that he “would lean Obama” in the upcoming election, though he quantified this by saying that he and most of California tend not to vote. So there you go then, Axl Rose: not quite as monstrous as we thought. See for yourself below (complete with amusing Halloween anecdote):

Duff Mckagan's Wife Caught In Ring Scandal

Guns N Roses Duff Mckagan

Duff Mckagan - former GUNS N' ROSES bassist - is caught up in a scandal after his wife, Susan Holmes, filed a report against a jeweller for stealing her wedding ring. Holmes visited the Beverly Hills jeweller Yossi Dina in 2004 to get some of her jewellery valued, and after the wedding ring was reportedly lost, Dina supposedly promised that it would be paid for.

According to swimsuit model Holmes, the jeweller took in the ring and promised to replace it, but never got back to her about the missing ring. In an interview with American scandal show 'Celebrity Justice', Holmes said that: "I gave him the ring to just quickly take a look at. Finally he came back to me and said, 'You know what? I don't know where your ring is, we lost it...' He said, 'Don't worry, we'll pay you for it.'"
