Ex-NASA Scientist Destroys Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Site Over 'Body Vibes Stickers' Claims

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow’s controversial lifestyle website Goop might really have put its foot in it now, after an ex-NASA scientist took it upon himself to tear down the dubious beneficial health claims the star’s site made about Body Vibes stickers that “promote healing”.

Many have loved attacking Goop over the years over its highly questionable health tips and pseudo-scientific claims, but now the site has been forced to remove claims it made over ‘Body Vibes stickers’, specifically that they were based on NASA technology and could “rebalance the energy frequency in our bodies” if worn on the arm or near the heart.

Gwyneth Paltrow Speaks About Negative Perceptions Of Her

Gwyneth Paltrow Chris Martin

Actress-turned-lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up about the ups and downs in her life, including her divorce from ex-husband Chris Martin, in a candid new interview.

The 44 year old, who split from the Coldplay frontman after more than a decade of marriage back in March 2014 and coined the notorious “conscious uncoupling” phrase, is often accused of being out of touch, and her Goop wellness/lifestyle newsletter has frequently been the object of derision in the press.

However, Paltrow addressed this perception of her in a new interview with The Edit, saying that she’s the first to admit that she’s led a charmed life, but it hasn’t been all good.

Gwyneth Paltrow's Lifestyle Newsletter Goop Publishes Entire Article About Taboo Sexual Act

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle website Goop has, for a long time now, been one of the most mocked and inherently ridiculous things done in the name of celebrity.

Now, she’s raised eyebrows among even the most dedicated fans of her blog by publishing an entire article about anal sex and other bedroom pursuits in the latest issue of her newsletter, called The Sex Issue, which she published on Thursday (March 23rd).

In it, the 44 year old mother-of-two not only discusses sex toys and pornography, but also includes an entire piece on anal sex, in which she consults an expert and compiles a pretty comprehensive guide to the often taboo sexual act.

Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie Gwyneth Paltrow

The Federal Bureau of Investigation in America has reportedly decided to not investigate the child abuse accusations levelled against Brad Pitt – and said that the investigation was never opened in the first place because there was no case to answer.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that “the matter should never have even been referred to the agency”, regarding the accusations that Pitt had verbally and physically abused his son on board a private jet last month.

The 52 year old Hollywood A-lister, who is in the process of divorcing Angelina Jolie after she filed court papers just over a fortnight ago, was accused of “screaming” and “ranting” at the couple’s six children during a flight from France to the US earlier this year.

'Mortdecai' Trailer: What Has Happened To Johnny Depp?

Johnny Depp Gwyneth Paltrow Olivia Munn

We're starting to think that, actually, it's way off the mark to assume that Johnny Depp is not picking the right roles. Whereas his contemporaries Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr seem more than capable of mixing straight up blockbusters with genuine quality cinema, Depp hasn't really made a good movie since Public Enemies - which certainly had its detractors.

Johnny DeppJohnny Depp as Mortdecai

Of course, the 51-year-old has been moving into 'character actor' territory for years now and appears to thrive in the off-beat portrayal. He's played the Mad Hatter, Hunter S Thompson, Tonto, Jack Sparrow, Barnabas Collins and now, Kyril's Bonfiglioli's moustachioed art dealer Charlie Mortdecai. Eric Aronson's Mortdecai sees Depp trekking across the globe on the hunt for a stolen painting thought to hold the key to some mystery treasure.

If Music Was Chris Martin’s Saviour, Coldplay Turned Royal Albert Hall Into A House Of Worship

Chris Martin Coldplay Gwyneth Paltrow

Chris Martin is a man saved; by music, that is. The Coldplay musician has endured a tough year plastered over the tabloids with his recently divorced ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, propelled by the unforgivably grating 2014 buzzphrase, "conscious uncoupling."

In the midst of the gossip and gloom, Martin and his Coldplay bandmates released Ghost Stories, a melancholy album of electronica dabblings suffused with the inevitable emotional turmoil of a relationship breakdown. The British quartet brought their latest chart-topping record and a selection of other hits to London's Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday night for a stripped-back and intimate performance.

Inviting fans at the sold-out show to be as close as workably possible, Coldplay managed to make the gig feel a tenth of the size; an illusion helped by the seeming absence high vis-clad concert wardens, a photo pit or heavy onstage theatrics. Instead, the band placed an emphasis on the stripped back aesthetic to give a reassuring "calm after the storm" vibe.

The 10 Most Ridiculous, Annoying, Infuriating Things Gwyneth Paltrow Has Ever Said

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow is a very annoying celebrity. There, we said it. It might seem harsh, but really the actress and former half of the now 'consciously uncoupled' Martins just doesn’t help herself thanks to the seemingly endless stream of annoying and downright infuriating things she comes out with. This time it’s that “water has feelings," last week it was likening her online experiences to “war”. It seems somewhere along the way between winning and Oscar and founding her ‘lifestyle’ brand GOOP, Gwyneth has lost that little part of her brain which should cause her to think before she speaks. If you’re not convinced that Paltrow has jumped the shark into annoying celebrity territory then may we present, ‘the 10 most ridiculous, annoying, outrageous, infuriating, whatever you want to call them things' Gwyneth Paltrow has said. Really these are just the tip of the iceberg.

Gwyneth Paltrow Gwyneth Paltrow, where to start...

1. Gwyneth likes to remind us all that she’s friends with Jay-Z because he’s a rapper and that’s cool, which makes her cool even though she married Chris Martin. The actress said, “I don’t hold on to fear as much as I used to, because I’ve learned a lot about genuinely not caring what strangers think about me. It’s very liberating. It’s very empowering, and I’ve learned a lot of that from Jay - Shawn Carter - Z, because his approach to life is very internal. It’s a very good lesson to learn.”

So, Now Water Has Feelings. When Will Gwyneth Paltrow Learn?

Gwyneth Paltrow

We’re veering away from thinking that Gwyneth Paltrow is pretentious towards thinking she’s just outright bonkers. Like, we can sort of get on board with the whole “conscious uncoupling,” divorce is an ugly thing and creating a more positive term and concept behind it isn’t totally looney. Then there was that whole “office mothers” thing, in which Paltrow compared being an office mother to a film actress, a far harder and more time consuming job in her opinion. We can kind of forgive her for this because, well, growing up in Los Angeles, the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and director Bruce Paltrow, it’s obvious she’s going to be a little void of reality. Paltrow’s probably never met a real working mother, at least not one who isn't the CEO of a company with numerous au pairs.

Gwyneth Paltrow Water Gwyneth Paltrow has published a blog talking about the "science" behind how negativity impacts water

When she married husband Chris Martin, English middle-class hero, we figured there must be something slightly down to earth about her for the relationship to work, but hey, it didn’t, so there goes that theory. She’s regularly sprouting new age nonsense, but her latest statement may be the most outrageous yet.

Gwyneth Paltrow, the 41-year-old Hollywood person who is actually a pretty good actress as well as a mother to two children, has claimed that saying negative things to water can hurt its feelings. Here's Why Gwyneth Paltrow Inspires Open Letters And Open Criticism

Gwyneth Paltrow

On May 27 Gwyneth Paltrow put her foot in it. Again. This time Paltrow has come under fire for comparing reading mean tweets about herself to war. Because the two things are totally on a level with one another. Paltrow said: “You come across [online comments] about yourself and your friends, and it’s a very dehumanising thing. It’s almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanising thing, and then something is defined out of it…My hope is, as we get out of it, we’ll reach the next level of conscience.”

Gwyneth Paltrow critics Gwyneth Paltrow finds reading mean comments about her "dehumanising"

For a second let’s ignore how thoroughly disconnected Paltrow is from reality and focus on what it is she’s actually said. It makes little to no sense. She seems to have plucked out the conclusion that once someone has fought in a war they can look back and think, “Oh, well that’s all OK, because it defined something.” Once they’ve figured this out, they can move to the next level of conscience. Basically, WTF?

Gwyneth Paltrow Wanted To Keep Her "Conscious Uncoupling" Private

Gwyneth Paltrow Chris Martin

Gwyneth Paltrow’s “conscious uncoupling“ has been the talk of the internet for about two weeks now, possibly because she used the term “conscious uncoupling” to describe it. But it turns out that the Iron Man actress had intended to keep her divorce from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin a secret for as long as possible. According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Paltrow would have been perfectly happy to keep up appearances and give the impression that the marriage was just fine for a few more months. Apparently, Martin was the one who thought it was “wrong” to lead people on.

Gwyneth Paltrow
Paltrow did not want to make a lot of noise around her divorce.

A source told Page Six's Richard Johnson: 'It was his idea to announce the split. They had drifted apart, and there was no chance they'd get back together, so he felt it was wrong to keep pretending.'

Gwyneth Paltrow Looks Back To Oscars Dresses Gone By

Gwyneth Paltrow

Today, female celebrities are subject to intense scrutiny for what they wear, especially if what they’re wearing has the propensity to show a bit of skin. When this goes wrong, the whole world knows about it.

Every year – and the Oscars is a breeding ground for them – a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ takes place, and it’s big big news. Academy award winner Gwyneth Paltrow had some issues with her Alexander McQueen gown she wore to the 2002 Oscars, which was a little bit see-through. "There were a few issues; I still love the dress itself but I should have worn a bra and I should have just had simple beachy hair and less makeup,” she admitted to Glamour. “Then, it would have worked as I wanted it to - a little bit of punk at the Oscars." Still, she learnt from those mistakes, and hasn’t really put a put wrong at any awards ceremonies since. "I have to say that since I started working with stylist Elizabeth Saltzman and have put my red carpet looks in her hands, I think they are all pretty maje," said Gwyneth.

Plagued by nightmares and guilty feelings, he is forced to doubt himself and his ability to protect himself and the ones he loves against a new enemy; the formidably ruthless Mandarin. His doubts are only amplified when his world and his power source are brutally snatched from him and left to burn at the hands of his enemy and he is left with his own internal strengths and resourcefulness alone to find the perpetrator and end his reign of terror. Stark is finally made to confront himself and his superhero identity as Mandarin sets out to prove there are no real heroes in the world.

The third instalment of this Marvel adventure, 'Iron Man 3' is set to be the most hard-hitting of the movies so far with questions being raised less about Iron Man and more about the true Tony Stark and his deeper abilities. It has been directed by Shane Black (the writer of the 'Lethal Weapon' film series) who also co-wrote the comic action flick with Drew Pearce ('Lip Service', 'No Heroics'). It is set for a spectacular release in cinemas on April 26th 2013 in the UK.

Starring: Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley, Paul Bettany, William Sadler, Stan Lee, Yvonne Zima, Dale Dickey, Ashley Hamilton, Ty Simpkins, Spencer Garrett,

Is Gwyneth Paltrow Too Old To Have Another Child?

Gwyneth Paltrow Chris Martin Diane Von Furstenberg Antonio Banderas

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed how she would love to have another child, though fears she may be too old at 40. In the latest issue of InStyle magazine, Paltrow told good friend Diane Von Furstenberg, "My brain says, 'Oh I think I'm done, the kids are big now and I don't want to go back to changing diapers.' But a part of me would love to have another. Of course, I'm old now!"

Paltrow certainly looks younger than her years in the accompanying photo-shoot, wearing a pink Atelier Versace dress and a black Armani gown, amongst others. She already has two children with husband Chris Martin, Apple and Moses. She recalled, "When Apple was born she had the hugest blue eyes. I looked into them and she was looking at me, and I felt like, 'You are here to teach me everything.'After Moses was born, I had postpartum depression. It was a difficult time and because of that I believe I have an extra empathy for him and he for me." The Oscar winner - who has been married to the Coldplay frontman for nine years - also discussed their often tempestuous relationship, saying, "Artists are sensitive; there are ups and downs, mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write." So she's basically saying Martin is one moody husband, right?

Paltrow is currently shooting the Pablo Picasso biopic 33 Dias, with Antonio Banderas and Oscar Jaenada.

Sandra Bullock To Chelsea Handler: Stop Sleeping With Guests, Lay Off The Booze!

Chelsea Handler Sandra Bullock Gwyneth Paltrow Cameron Diaz Jennifer Aniston

Chelsea Handler returned with the season premiere of her new late night talk show 'Chelsea Lately' on Monday evening (October 15, 2012), calling in a couple of favors to give the programme an added boost.

Handler dipped into her bulging book of celebrity contacts, recruiting Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz to rap, Jennifer Aniston to cry about her recent engagement to Justin Theroux, and Sandra Bullock to strip in the staff showers. Yep, you heard us correctly. In a skit for the show, Bullock and Handler were shown road-toasting the studio's new facilities though the Oscar winning actress had a little advice for the talk show host. After telling her friend to stop calling herself the "white Oprah", Bullock said, "You have a responsibility to be a respectable talk show host. This comes directly from Oprah's mouth to my ear, to my mouth, out of my mouth, into your ear, down your body, out your vagina, up my vagina and out my ass." Nice. The actress also told Handler to stop sleeping with her guests, to which the host guiltily replied, "I don't sleep with that many anymore... just some of the rappers."

Handler's ability to land regular A-listers for 'Chelsea Lately' will be a huge advantage for the E! network as the show begins its new season. Catch it every Monday, at 11pm.

Cameron Diaz And Gwyneth Paltrow Rap In Honor Of Chelsea Handler’s New Studio

Gwyneth Paltrow Cameron Diaz Chelsea Handler

Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz tried their hand at rapping in honour of fellow Hollywood blonde Chelsea Handler. The ladies slammed their friend for her sex life and drinking habits, though it was all done in good humor. While the rap did little for Diaz and Paltrow’s street cred, it was obvious that the actresses do not take themselves too seriously and enjoy a challenge once in a while. Diaz took on the part of a beat-boxer, while Paltrow was spitting lyrics like "You like black guys, white guys, whoever's around. Your bedroom looks like it's a lost and found. We kind of like you because you're blonde like us, but we can't hang with you in public 'cause you drink too much."

Though the starlets themselves are no strangers to heavy partying, the rap hints at some truths around Handler’s party history and contains lines like “Yo, Chelsea. We heard that you got a brand new studio. But we know that you got on TV by being a ho.”

The comedienne is far from just a party girl, however, having built an extremely successful career as an entertainer and TV presenter. At 37, she has performed as a stand-up comedian, acted in numerous works in TV and cinema, and is hosting her own talk show, Chelsea Lately. The 5th season of the show is set to air this autumn on the E! Network in the USA and re-runs of the show are broadcast on E! in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

The Avengers Review

Excellent
Like four action movies mashed into one, it's often difficult to know where to look while watching this busy blockbuster. It takes a while to get going, but once writer-director Whedon hits his stride, the film rockets through a series of frantically entertaining set pieces.

When mischievous Loki (Hiddleston) steals the tesseract from top-secret agency Shield, director Nick Fury (Jackson) and his sidekicks (Gregg and Smulders) call in their superheroes: Tony (Downey), Steve (Evans), Natasha (Johansson), Bruce (Ruffalo) and Clint (Renner), better known as Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, the Hulk and Hawkeye. And Loki's brother Thor (Hemsworth) also turns up. But calling them a team is misleading, as they find it tricky to put rivalries and mistrust aside to save the world from Loki's apocalyptic plan.

Contagion Review

Excellent
Soderbergh applies his brainier brand of filmmaking to the global outbreak thriller genre, and the result is a hugely gripping blockbuster that never talks down to its audience. It's also terrifyingly believable as we watch a deadly flu virus spread around the world.

In Minneapolis, Mitch (Damon) is horrified when his wife (Paltrow) comes home from a business trip to China, collapses with the flu and dies. But she's only the first of a series of similar cases around the world, and soon officials from the Centers for Disease Control (Winslet, Fishburne and Ehle) and the World Health Organisation (Cotillard) are on the case, trying to manage emerging clusters while tracing the disease back to its source. Meanwhile, a blog hack (Law) is pestering a San Francisco scientist (Gould) for a cure.

Glee: The 3D Concert Movie Review

Good
The Glee phenomenon hits the big screen with this oddly conceived movie, which documents the social phenomenon but reveals nothing about the series or actors beyond the songs they sing.

Made primarily for fans who couldn't attend the summer 2011 tour, this is mainly a concert movie featuring some 20 songs from the TV show. Each main character gets his or her moment in the spotlight as they stir the arena crowd into a frenzy of adoration. Between numbers, we meet fans who have felt the show's impact: sparky high-school cheerleader Janae, who's only incidentally a dwarf; the soulful Trenton, who was forced out as gay in eighth grade; and the reclusive Josie, who has emerged from her shell as a Gleek.

Two Lovers Review

Excellent
Joaquin Phoenix has a reputation for diving heartily into roles, and his starring turn in James Gray's Two Lovers is no exception. In the film's first scene, Phoenix's dive is literal: A Brooklyn kid plunging into the bay in an arresting setup that rings of despair and confusion. It's an appropriate introduction to Phoenix's delicate character development, a performance that buoys an impressive romantic drama.

And that's a genre we don't see too often anymore: romantic drama. Today's cinematic romances are usually steeped in light comedy (even decent ones like Definitely, Maybe) or predictable form posing as drama. But Two Lovers is hardcore drama, with desire at its center. Or more accurately, two desires.

Great Expectations (1998) Review

Weak
You know, I didn't like the book Great Expectations when I was in high school, so I don't know why anyone thought it would be liked any better now. Hawke's meddling with the story is well-documented (including changing the main character's name from Pip to Finn). Then there's the updating to the 20th century, making Pip, er, Finn an artist (and a bad one at that), Bancroft's horrific drag-queenish dance instructor. De Niro's lost expression. Ugh. I'll take the book over this.

The Royal Tenenbaums Review

Essential
Family isn't based on sweet kisses on the cheek. Affection between parent and child is not established by saying the magical phrase "I love you." Instead, the strongest conversations often come through in stares and sarcastic remarks. As the old saying goes, you only hurt the ones you love, and family members are usually first in line.

This adage is wholly true for the Tenenbaums, a charismatic dysfunctional family set in a slightly surreal New York City. With an all-star cast and crisp dialogue, this film does what many other films of its genre lack -- it creates a family environment that is entertaining as well as easy to relate to.

Possession Review

Bad
A.S. Byatt's Booker Award-winning novel Possession might have provided some literary delight, following two academics who track the love letters of a Victorian poet and his free-spirited mistress. That doesn't translate well to cinema, though. Neil LaBute's film adaptation boils down to a buttoned-down Gwyneth Paltrow (sporting her Academy Award winning faux-Brit accent from Shakespeare in Love) and square-jawed Aaron Eckhart running from one Masterpiece Theater location to the next (the library, the moors, the waterfall, the gothic archway, the castle wall, and the moonlit graveyard) all the while reading aloud from the correspondence of dead Englishmen.

While it might make a charming book-on-tape for the Oprah crowd, this "love loves to love love" hokum masquerades as a real movie. The present day academics exist in counterpoint to the period movie flashbacks (basically Jeremy Northam donning his suit again and looking forlorn, intercut with shots of his beautiful mistress Jennifer Ehle looking voluptuous and forlorn). And they talk, talk, talk about subtext within the letters; but they're actually talking about each other. Yes, it's When Harry Met Sally in the Library. So help me God, Eckhart's emotional revelation is when he asks Paltrow, "Is there an Us in You and Me?" (If I were Paltrow, I'd say, "I'll call you.")

Proof (2005) Review

Bad
The Broadway hit Proof put playwright David Auburn's name on the map, earned him a shelf full of prizes (from Tony to Pulitzer), and reminded those of us who stopped paying attention that Mary-Louise Parker was a star. A movie adaptation was inevitable, though a drastic mishandling of the material was not.

Familiarity with Auburn's stage presentation may breed contempt for this version, which feels distinctly off-kilter from its first frames. Mysteries that held water longer in the theater instead land like Doc Marten's on a flimsy piece of plywood here. Director John Madden samples a chatty, analytical approach to his literal translation but gets swept up in stagy, awkward, and all-too-deliberate line readings. Much like last year's ill-conceived Phantom of the Opera, this movie has few cinematic qualities that elevate it above a tedious and emotionless play rehearsal shot on location.

Shakespeare In Love Review

Extraordinary
Easily the best comedy of the year - and the best film of the year to star Joseph Fiennes and feature Queen Elizabeth as a major character - Shakespeare in Love gets a hands-down recommendation for all filmgoers.

The clever premise follows one William Shakespeare (Fiennes), stuck with writer's block while trying to pen "Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate's Daughter" and unable to get his own love life going to boot.

The Anniversary Party Review

Good

Making a Hollywood story with a decidedly un-Hollywood flair, co-writers, co-directors and co-stars Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Cumming take a casual, almost guerilla approach to their collaborative conception called "The Anniversary Party."

It's a shoestring production shot cinema vérité style in which these two gifted journeyman actors play a shaky show biz couple throwing themselves a sixth anniversary bash even though they've just recently and tentatively reconciled after a big infidelity blow-up.

Their guests -- movie stars, directors, industry types and hangers-on -- seem vaguely uncomfortable congratulating Sally and Joe Therrian (Leigh and Cumming) on their longevity under the circumstances. But in a town where fakery is the norm, it's easy for everyone to put on a happy face -- even the non-industry next-door neighbors (Denis O'Hare and Mina Badie) who have been invited only in an attempt to ease tensions over a barking dog dispute that's threatening to turn legal.

Austin Powers In Goldmember Review

Weak

The cameo-driven, "Mission: Impossible 2"-spoofing, movie-within-a-movie, pre-title sequence of "Austin Powers in Goldmember" is the funniest five minutes to date in this spy comedy franchise. Then Mike Myers shows up and ruins everything.

Still trapped in a skit-comedy frame of mind all these years after leaving "Saturday Night Live," his short attention span has made the "Austin Powers" movies little more than a string of brief, loosely-related set pieces which are often 98 percent setup and 2 percent punch line.

Myers goes miles out of his way to make a reference to the 1983 song "Mr. Roboto" by the band Styx, for example. Then he spends nebulously unfunny gaps between such gags to make fleeting mentions of the plot, which in this case concerns Dr. Evil -- Myers cueball goofball homage to James Bond's maniacal bald nemesis Blofeld -- teaming up with an scabby Dutch roller-disco owner named Goldmember whom Evil has transported from the 1970s.

Coldplay Dropping 'Green Eyes' From Live Set List After Paltrow Complained To Martin

Coldplay Chris Martin Gwyneth Paltrow

Coldplay will not be playing their live favourite, 'Green Eyes', as frontman Chris Martin wrote it about a previous love and now it offends his current girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow. Martin and Paltrow have been dating since 2002, so now the track about a former girlfriend has been replaced with the newer song 'Moses', which Martin has written specially for his 'Se7en' star girlfriend.
