Gwyneth Paltrow's separation from Chris Martin hasn't just affected their household.

The 41 year-old actress inadvertently made working moms very angry after making comments about raising children with a 9-5 office job.

In an interview with E!News, which took place a week before her and Martin's split, Paltrow insinuated working moms have a much easier job raising children than she does.

"I think it's different when you have an office job. It's routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening," she said.

"When you're shooting a movie, they're like, 'We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,' and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult," she continued. "I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as, of course there are challenges, but it's not like being on set."

But working mothers aren't too sympathetic towards Paltrow's struggles in a life of fame and fortune, and they cannot help but think that their jobs as parents does also have its challenges.

"I don't know a single parent who read that interview and thought, 'Wow. I never realized how easy I have it, what with the getting up at 5:30 to get ready for work, making sure the kids are fed and off safely to school, spending a 8-18 hour day at my job, then rushing home to make dinner/put the kids to bed, and doing it all again tomorrow,'" wrote working mother Devon Corneal in the Huffington Post.

Mackenzie Dawson, who works for the NY Post, also blasted Paltrow in an open letter published in the newspaper, sarcastically speculating which sort of working mother has it easier.

"Is it the female breadwinners who work around the clock to make sure their mortgages get paid, lying awake at night, wracked with anxiety over the idea of losing their jobs?" she wrote. "Or is it the mothers who get mommy-tracked and denied promotions? What about the moms with 'regular' 9-to-5 jobs, who are penalized when their kids are sick and they don't have backup child care?"
