Gwyneth Paltrow's husband Chris Martin has banned her from listening to Coldplay.

The 'Contagion' actress - who has two children, Apple, seven, and Moses, five, with the band's frontman - can't put on the group's CDs when he's at home so she waits until he is out to play his albums.

She said: "I listen to Coldplay around the house when my husband's not there. I've heard the new album, it's incredible. It's different and it's amazing. It's exciting. I'm excited for him."

Although Gwyneth and Chris have been happily married for almost eight years, the actress admits "life is complicated" and never compares her relationships to other people's.

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, she said: "I am a great romantic - but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist. Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extra-marital affairs.

"It's like we're flawed - we're human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge.

"That's their problem but I really think that the more I live my life the more I learn not to judge people for what they do. I think we're all trying our best but life is complicated.

"I'm lucky, I have a wonderful, blessed life. I have two fantastically delightful children and a very nice husband so ... knock on wood."
