Electronic UK band Hadouken will release their latest single 'Bad Signal' on August 5th 2012 via Ministry of Sound Records (Example, Wretch 32, DJ Fresh).
Their slightly dreamlike video for the track depicts a broken love story involving cigarettes, Happy Juice and a feathered headdress. The nonsensical style suits the rave scene perfectly; whilst the video mixes visual themes, the track's genre is an exhilarating concoction of nu rave, rap, grime, dance and pop. It's not surprisingly that the group have reached relatively high UK chart positions considering they've come out of an underground club scene.
The single, produced by Aeph, follows 'Parasite' which was named Hottest Record in the World in April by Zane Lowe. It had reached 55,000 downloads within a month as well as 150,000 hits on the video.
hadouken; who are James Smith (singer), Alice Spooner (synth player), Daniel Rice, Christopher Purcell (guitarists) and Nick Rice (drummer); have worked on remixes with many notable artists such as Klaxons, Kids in Glass Houses, Bloc Party, Plan B and even the Sugababes.
