Kind of like ‘Nashville’ but with hip hop, 'Empire' is a family drama focusing on the ex-wife of a record label mogul. Written and exec produced by The Butler's Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, it stars Terrance Howard as the label boss and Taraji P. Henson as his ex-wife.


This much anticipated Batman prequel, follows the life of commissioner James Gordon in ‘Gotham’ before they had a caped crusader. The show will also explore some of Batman’s most famous enemies before they were villains including Penguin and Catwoman.

Based on DC Comics' Hellblazer, Matt Ryan stars as John Constantine, an occult master who suddenly becomes the world’s best hope for survival against the gathering forces of darkness. The script has been penned by ‘Dexter’s’ Daniel Cerone who will co-produce alongside Batman trilogy writer David Goyer.

State of Affairs

Katherine Heigl returns to television in this political drama which sees her cast as CIA Analyst, Charlie Tucker who was once engaged to the President son. After he was killed in a terrorist attack and she survived, Charlie becomes determined to bring the perpetrators to justice.

‘Happy Endings’ star Casey Wilson is one half of a couple who get engaged too quickly here and release it’s all a lot harder than it looks. Ken Marino stars as Wilson’s other half, while her real life fiancee David Caspe wrote the script. Expect this one to be extra on the realism, as it’s already being touted as the season’s most promising new comedy.
