Halle Berry has admitted to being surprised when she found out she was pregnant, but says she’s feeling pretty good while talking to CNN during a charity project she and designer Michael Kors are undertaking called Watch Hunger Stop.

"I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth. Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful," she told CNN. Berry – who is expecting a child with fiancé Olivier Martinez – will be working on a charity project that will see children provided with meals through the U.N. World Food Programme, and she hopes to travel to the locations where food will be delivered. "I hope we go while I'm pregnant, so I can talk about prenatal care. And I will have time off," she added. "I'm not working right now. It's so important to me, being a mom, that I can help educate women on how important it is that when you have a healthy child, it helps set them up for life."

Kors told the AP why Berry is partnering him on this philanthropic exercise. "I'm enthralled by fabulous jugglers," he explained, before actually saying something that made sense. "I wanted someone talented, check. Someone compassionate to the world, a great mother, someone incredibly glamorous and chic — and who makes it all look easy."
