Nineties acts Hanson and TLC are making plans to hit the recording studio together for an unlikely collaboration.

The surviving members of the R&B group met the MMMBop hitmakers during The Mixtape Festival at Herseypark Stadium in Pennsylvania over the weekend (27Jul13), and the two bands have expressed an interest in joining forces to create some music magic.

Tlc star Rozanda 'Chilli' Thomas shared the news via her Twitter.com blog on Sunday (28Jul13) when she posted a picture of herself with Taylor Hanson, writing, "This guy is beyond awesome! Can't wait to work with u (you)!! Good guy, real talent, humble."

In a series of posts, Taylor responded, "To collab (sic) would be a honor (sic). Still buzzing from ur (your) show... Let's make it happen... I'm flattered. What a pleasure meeting/chatting. The feeling is mutual, music needs to be made. So excited to get to music making!! So many possibilities!"

Thomas later tweeted, "Boy u (sic) never know where those Hanson boys r (are) gonna be... jus (just) got off the phone with Taylor n (and) he's chillin on a boat!! Mannnn (sic)..."

Girl group Tlc shot to fame in the early 1990s with the release of their first album Ooooooohhh... On the Tlc Tip, while sibling boyband Hanson's debut Middle of Nowhere came out in 1997.
