Star Wars fans have been having their say on the recently announced full title for Episode VII: The Force Awakens. The news arriving in an official tweet, which also announced the completion of principal photography on the project, set for release on December 20, 2015.

Star WarsProduction on Star Wars: The Force Awakens began at Pinewood in May 2014

Rumors had circulated earlier this year that The Ancient Fear was being considered for the title, though those proved unfounded.

Though arguing over the suitability of a title for a movie that nobody has seen seems folly, though Star Wars fans certainly don't appear to be taken by the name.

"Damn, had my money on "Star Wars Episode VII: The Lenses Flare" in the office pool," said David. S Cohen of Variety.

"Area Man Thinks Of Star Wars Name Joke About Force Waking Up, Hitting Alarm Clock," said another Twitter user.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Shakes It Off, Takes a Pill, Looks in the Mirror, Slaps Its Face, Says "Showtime" #rejectedstarwarstitles" said another fan.

"Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens But Really It's About Ethics In Force Journalism #RejectedStarWarsTitles," said another.

"At least it beats "Star Wars VII: We've Come For Your Money, Nerds"" wrote another, more optimistic Star Wars fan.

The movie, directed by J.J Abrams with a cast that includes Harrison Ford, Lupita Nyong'o and Max von Sydow, began shooting at Pinewood studios in May 2014, though took a brief hiatus after Ford suffered a broken leg on set. The production was notably secretive, though one high profile leak showed what appeared to be a half-built Millenniums Falcon a Greenham Common in Berkshire.
