As it goes, 'Dunkirk' is very much one enormously intense action scene for the majority of the running time - and with real World War II spitfires flying around, thousands of extras and genuine explosions, acting wasn't necessary.

Harry Styles is in mourning after learning that his stepfather, Robin Twist, has died at the age of 57 following a battle against cancer.

Confirming the news that Twist had passed away earlier this week, a spokesperson for the former One Direction singer said on Thursday (June 22nd): “Harry’s stepfather, Robin Twist, sadly passed away this week after a long battle with cancer. The family asks for privacy at this time.”

Harry’s stepfather also leaves behind two grown-up children from his previous marriage, named Mike and Amy.

Niall Horan is hoping to drop his debut solo album ''later this year.''

The One Direction singer has received rave reviews following the release of his two singles 'This Town' and 'Slow Hands' and, although he can't wait to give fans more content, he's not ready to share his LP just yet as he's still coming up with a name.

Speaking on 'Lorraine', he said: ''I listen to a lot of 80s funk rock, and I started playing on the piano and that came up... and hopefully the album will be later this year. I'm still trying to come up with the name, we've only recently just finished recording it.''

On Friday the first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming WWII epic Dunkirk dropped, showing us our first glimpses of the Dark Knight director’s first film since 2014’s Interstellar. Troops fill landing crafts and watch as warplanes soar overhead, threatening destruction.

Esteemed filmmaker Christopher Nolan has confirmed more additions to the cast list for his upcoming epic Dunkirk, adding ‘Peaky Blinders’ stars Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy as well as One Direction’s Harry Styles to the project.

Nolan has already begun filming the World War II action thriller in the village of Dunkirk in France, the site of the massive military evacuation that signalled the end of Britain’s initial attempt to repel Nazi Germany in France. Filming will also take place in Holland and Los Angeles.

The three actors join Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Fionn Whitehead. The ensemble cast also includes Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden and Barry Keoghan.

Accepting the 24th MITS award in recognition of his contribution to the music and entertainment industry as well as his charity work, the ‘X-Factor’ judge thought the time was right to make a Zayn Malik joke in front of his former bandmates.

One Direction have announced they will play the SSE Arena in Belfast on Friday, after cancelling Tuesday night’s show when band member Liam Payne fell ill. The show on Tuesday evening was set to be the first of a three night run in Belfast for the boyband, however fans have been assured that tonight and tomorrow's shows are going ahead as planned.

1D fans have been speculating that the new song’s lyrics are about Harry Styles’ ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, whom the singer dated for three months between October 2012 and January 2013.
