Heidi Klum doesn't see the problem with her revealing red carpet choices.

The German supermodel regularly hits the headlines by wearing daring dresses at showbiz events, but can't see why she shouldn't be wearing super sexy gowns and plunging necklines while she still has the body for it.

Speaking about the custom-made gold dress she donned for Sir Elton John's Oscars party last month, she told PEOPLE: ''You should have seen it before! I did actually make it very modest; it was all the way down to my bellybutton. To me it wasn't even that risky. Those are my boobs, you know?

''If they were like all the way down to my knees I would be like, 'Okay, maybe that's the wrong dress,' but I felt like, 'Why not?' ''

However, the 39-year-old star is much more practical when it comes to her everyday outfits and says she will be forgoing uncomfortable shoes for her new role as a judge on 'America's Got Talent' since she will only be seen from the waist up on screen.

Heidi explained: ''You only are seen from [your waist] up. So why am I squeezing myself into these shoes that no one sees? I can take them off!''

The bubbly blonde - who recently unveiled her new collection for New Balance - has a similar ethos regarding sportswear and favours practicality over skin-tight clothing.

She said: ''I like to have shirts a little bit longer. I think that certain bits should be hidden, right? I want to look cute when I work out!''
