Henry Cavill would love to star as James Bond but worries that he may not ever have time.
Henry Cavill would love to star as James Bond if he can find the time.
The 'Man of Steel' actor hasn't ruled out stepping into the fictional spy's shoes but admitted that with starring as Superman and the possibility that his 'Man From U.N.C.L.E.' movie could become a franchise, he's not sure if he would be able to fit it in.
He told Men's Health UK: ''The Bond people are wonderful and I'd like to work with them. But it all depends on directors, and scripts, and whether they want me to do it.
''Plus, there's a time factor. Let's say the DC Universe keeps growing: they haven't announced any more standalone 'Superman' movies, but they may well do. That takes a full year out. If 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' becomes a franchise, there's that...I'm not too sure when I could fit it in.''
However, one movie not taking up his time anymore is 'Stratton' which the 32-year-old actor recently quit shortly before shooting was set to begin in London and Rome.
Guy Collins, the Co-Founder of GFM Films, which is providing finance for the film, told ScreenDaily: ''After securing many distribution deals ahead of the market, we had a really good Cannes and had closed more deals ahead of production.
''But just before leaving Cannes we were informed by the production company that they wanted to push the start date back by around three weeks to finalise some additional casting and make some further fixes to the script.
''Then, during several meetings in London with both sets of producers including Henry Cavill, he told us he has decided not to shoot this script at this time.
''He had a different vision of what the film should be to us and the production team and wanted to delay production until September and shoot a different story and script.''
