Hilary Duff claims her labour was ''very easy''.

The 24-year-old singer - who welcomed baby Luca with partner MIKE COMRIE in March - did not find giving birth particularly hard as she maintained a level head throughout the process.

She said: ''It was very easy. I went into labour at about one in the morning and I very calmly had my bags packed and woke my husband up after about three hours of walking up and down my hallway.

''Then I was like, 'OK, it's time to go now.' We got in the car and drove to the hospital and that was it.''

Hilary has fallen completely in love with her newborn and she can notice him growing and learning every day.

Speaking on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show', she said: ''Every single day, it seems like there's a new face that they're making. He started to smile about a week ago and that's the coolest experience. It's all good.

''What is to come is such an amazing Journey and a lot of work. It's just like the best thing that's ever happened to you.''

She has also been impressed with how much seven-week-old Luca sleeps.

Hilary added: ''I feel weird because it seems like I'm bragging but he sleeps 11 to six. It is possible, ladies.''
