Images have emerged of Hillary Clinton partying at a local club in Colombia. The secretary of state was photographed knocking back bottles of beer and tearing up the dance-floor to some Cuban music.

The images, obtained by the New York Post, show Clinton blowing off some steam with around 12 friends at Cafe Havana in the seaside resort of Cartagena, to toast the end of the VI Summit of the Americas. The former First Lady arrived at the club just after midnight, with her pals and a small group of bodyguards, who took over the last remaining table in the bustling drinking hole. Hillary "quickly proved she's just a regular gal when it comes to drinking", chugging down her Aguila pilsner cerveza straight from the bottle before getting up to dance to some Cuban rhythms. In all, her group ordered a dozen beers, two glasses of whiskey and several bottles of water. The Cuban themed club came as a surprise to some, given that the U.S's isolation of Cuba was a key topic of discussion heading into the summit talks. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos has lashed out at his countries embargo and insisted that the Communist nation be invited to the next meeting.

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer has already criticized press coverage of Clinton's partying, tweeting, "Front page picture of 'Swillary' Clinton is brutally unfair. She drank a beer at a summit meeting event. So what?"
