Adele has trounced the competition at the 2015 BBC Music Awards, winning two of the five prizes in the form of British Artist of the Year and BBC Live Performance of the Year, for her BBC One live special ‘Adele at the BBC’ last month.
The 27 year old was not present for the second annual ceremony at Birmingham’s Genting Arena, but she sent a message by way of reaction saying: “That's amazing. I've only just put out new music. I'm so chuffed.”

Taylor Swift shakes off more relationship rumours.
Despite recent reports that Taylor Swift had started dating British DJ Calvin Harris after becoming bosom buddies at the 2015 Brit Awards, the 'Shake It Off' singer is in fact single - and the pair are nothing more than platonic friends.
Taylor Swift isn't dating anyone
Ever since they were spotted getting 'cosy' at the awards show, media outlets went wild making huge assumptions that the pair were indeed embarking on a relationship. However, Swift has insisted in a recent interview that love isn't at the top of her to-do list and she certainly hasn't had a relationship in some time now. Plus, it seems Harris might indeed already be in a relationship; with model Aarika Wolf.

Powered by current single 'I Bet My Life', the eclectic group secures its first ever U.S. Number One album with 'Smoke + Mirrors'.
Las Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons have landed straight in at the top spot on the Billboard 200 with their second album Smoke + Mirrors. The group, responsible for the enormous 2012 hit ‘Radioactive’, sold 195,000 units of their sophomore effort in the first week, compiled from physical, track and streaming equivalent sales according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The record is also currenly top of the charts in Britain, and is only new entry inside the Top Ten this week. Despite the impressive figures, Smoke + Mirrors has got a way to go before it tops the sales for their first album Night Visions, which to date has sold 2.5 million copies and has only left the Billboard 100 for two of its 129 weeks on sale. ‘Radioactive’, by itself, has sold in excess of nine million copies in the U.S. But that album only made as high as Number 2 during its run.

Taylor may not have bagged any awards on Sunday night, but she did manage to keep us talking thanks to her tangled web of celeb connections.
Taylor Swift really didn't need to win any Grammy awards on Sunday evening to have an eventful night. Despite having three nominations and going home empty handed, Swift managed to steal nearly as many headlines as Kanye West on Grammy night, thanks to her always eventful personal life.
Taylor Swift had an eventful Grammy night.
Hitting the red carpet, Taylor’s first noteworthy moment came when she encountered Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O’Dell. After the camera’s panned to Swift’s dress O’Dell decided it would be appropriate to say to the signer, "I just wanted to show the legs, because as I was telling you ahead of time, I think you're going to walk home with more than just a trophy tonight. I think lots of men.”
This year's Brit Award nominations features a few surprises...
The 2015 Brit Award nominations have finally been announced with, it seems, a few surprises alongside the obvious candidates. There's no prizes for guessing who's come out on top for this year's list of award-winning possibles.
Sam Smith leads nominations
Awards season rears its ominous head for another year, with some major ceremonies - in both film and music - having already taken place. We've seen prizes sent out for 2014's films; I.e. Golden Globes, the Critics' Choice Awards, People's Choice Awards, AFI Honours; and now it's time for music, with the BBC Sound of 2015 having already taken place and now The Brits and the Grammys have unveiled their candidates.
Sam Smith is still topping album sales for his debut release.
Sam Smith continues to win over the nation with his debut album 'In The Lonely Hour' as it slides back up to number one in the UK Album Chart for its fifth non-consecutive week with more than 1.2 million copies sold.
Sam Smith back at number one
The British singer-songwriter shot to the top of the charts in June 2014 with the record, which includes the hit singles 'Money On My Mind' and 'Stay With Me', before returning to the top spot in September and no once again re-claiming that marker. The multi-platinum release has now had five weeks at the top according to the latest count.

And yet it's bagged itself a big fancy Grammy Award nomination
Andrew Hozier-Byrne has taken the first part of his double-barrel surname and made himself quite an impressive career so far. Hozier, as the Irish musician is more commonly known, has had a big 2014, releasing his debut self-titled album in October with his breakthrough single, Take Me to Church, making it into the top 20 in a number of countries around the world.

Not one but two Fantasy Bras were displayed at this year's London show.
The 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show finally hit London on Tuesday (December 2nd) at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre for it's UK debut which saw twice as much bedazzlement as last year and just as much exciting live music.
The Victoria's Secret girls arrive in London for the 2014 fashion show
Last year, only 40 models stole the runway when it took place at New York's Lexington Armory, but this week a further seven models joined the show for the biggest Victoria's Secret event yet. Not only that but the 19th Annual Fashion Show features a whopping 79 different looks, with this year's six categories including Angel Ball, Dream Girl, Exotic Traveler, Fairy Tale, Gilded Angels and University of Pink.
Sweetlife 2014 lives up to its name with amazing sets from Fitz & the Tantrums and Foster The People.
Sweetlife festival proved its worth with a fantastic day of quality music and incredible food at the weekend, with Foster The People and Fitz & The Tantrums among the clear highlights of the Maryland event.
We're tempted to jump on the pun bandwagon and talk about how 'sweet' Sweetlife festival was last weekend - but we'll try and avoid it. Though speaking of such, the food was an important feature of the whole day (May 10th 2014) with one memorable fact being Astro Doughnuts' batch of 2,000 of their famous sugary treat. Obviously, there were plenty of happy faces before the music even began.
