British heavy rock legends Ian Gillan, Tony Iommi, JON LORD and NICKO MCBRAIN have formed a new one-off supergroup to raise funds for an Armenian music school.
Twenty years ago Black Sabbath guitarist Iommi and Deep Purple singer Gillan spearheaded a charity effort to raise cash for the Armenian victims of the 1988 Leninakan earthquake, and the two rockers recently took a trip to see how the funds they raised had helped.
But they were dismayed to learn that a music school in Leninakan was still in ruins and they pledged to raise cash to help developers rebuild it.
According to Blabbermouth.net, the rockers hit the studio earlier this week (beg04Oct10) with Deep Purple and Whitesnake star Lord and Iron Maiden drummer MCBrain to record a new track, Out Of My Mind, for the cause.
