Shinedown will join them in the UK, Belgium and Germany.
Iron Maiden are set to continue the European leg of their worldwide 'The Book Of Souls' tour in the Spring of 2017, returning to Antwerp, Belgium for the first time in 35 years. They will be joined by Florida four-piece and 'Second Chance' hitmakers Shinedown.
Iron Maiden hit the road again in 2017
The second leg of their European tour will kick off in Antwerp on April 22nd, and will see them perform across the UK, Ireland and Germany, concluding at the O2 Arena in London on May 27th.
Iron Maiden released their sixteenth studio album 'The Book of Souls' in September 2015, where it topped the UK album chart and reached number 4 in the US. It saw their first release with Parlophone records and featured the singles 'Speed of Light' and 'Empire of the Clouds'.
'As it's been so long since our last full UK arena tour, we really wanted to get to our fans in as many cities as possible', bass player Steve Harris said in a statement. 'We're really looking forward to it, especially visiting places we haven't been to for a very long time like Leeds where we haven't played since 2005 and Liverpool where we haven't played since 1990.'
Shinedown are certainly looking forward to joining the metal band on their trip to the UK. 'Iron Maiden are the kings of metal and one of the greatest live bands of all time', said frontman Zach Myers. 'It's an honor to be touring with them in Europe and in their home country and to play in front of their fans. We can't wait to see you in 2017!'
Iron Maiden began their 'The Book Of Souls' tour in North America in February and went on to visit Chile, Argentina, Brazil, China, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. They also completed the first leg of their European tour in August.
Tickets will go on sale on September 30th 2016.
