Ivanka Trump's fashion collection has been influenced by motherhood.

The designer - who is the daughter of businessman, Donald, and former athlete and model, Ivana - has a three-year-old daughter, Arabella, and 14-month-old son, Joseph, and says her family situation has encouraged her to make her designs more functional.

When asked if having children had changed her own wardrobe, she said: ''It hasn't changed my style so much as it has influenced the pieces we're creating for the Ivanka Trump collection. Multifunctional is key.''

The 33-year-old beauty - who is married to real estate magnate Jared Kushner - explained she wants women to feel comfortable wearing items from her collection in a variety of situations, whether looking after children, in an important meeting or out on a romantic date.

She told InStyle.com: ''I appreciate feminine silhouettes that seamlessly transition from one facet of life to another. For me, it's a great dress that I can wear to play with the children before school, then feel comfortable in on a construction site, confident in while negotiating a deal, and later feel elegant in when meeting my husband for dinner.''
