The Bleachers frontman woke up on Wednesday morning in agony so he sought out medical attention, and after five hours in the emergency room, he felt well enough to perform the final show of his joint tour with Charli XCX in Columbus.

In a series of posts on Twitter.com, he writes, "What a strange day. Woke up at 5am in insane pain went to the ER for 5 hours - got better there... Fell asleep on the bus when I got back. Didn't eat. Played the Columbus show and had a f**king ball cause the... crowd was a dream come true. Said goodbye to Charli and her band and crew. Now in the bus for NYC then Japan tomorrow. The ER was helpful."

Antonoff did not give any further details about his condition.
