It's the early 1940s and World War II is in full swing. Bombs are raining down on London in the Blitzkrieg threatening to tear the country in two, but the British are made of sturdier stuff. Catrin Cole is a writer who comes to realise that the absence of ambitious young men in the workplace due to recruitment into the army has opened a door for her. She is appointed by the film division of the Ministry of Information to write the supplementary women's dialogue of a new propaganda film about Dunkirk, however she is told that she'll get no screen credit and won't be paid as much as her male counterparts. She goes one step further and writes the whole script, impressing all involved if leaving them a little indignant. Plus, she finds an unlikely ally in an aging film star named Ambrose Hilliard, who longs for the days he had major roles.

Kill Your Darlings is the previously untold story of friendship, jealousy, genius and murder that sparked the literary revolution of the 1940's. Kill Your Darlings follows the story of: Allen Ginsberg, Lucien Carr, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs, the four great poets of the Beat Generation and how they were all implicated by the brutal murder of David Kamerer.
Allen Ginsberg must decide whether to use his literary skills to clear his friends name or to reveal what he believes to be the truth in this biographical thriller.
Based on true events, Kill Your Darlings has been nominated for the Grandy Jury Prize at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and is the directorial debut from John Krokidas winner of the 'Director to Watch' at the 2013 Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Whilst running a con, being anonymous is very important. Keeping past operations secret and your personal life out of reach from potential targets is just as important as running the actual hustle. For years Irving Rosenfeld has been a con at the top of his game, evading arrest by the police and capture by past marks but all that could quite easily change when he and his business partner, Sydney Prosser, are recruited by an unruly FBI officer Richie DiMaso.
The target Rosenfeld has to hit is one even cons wouldn't usually mess with, an elected mayor the FBI believe to be dirty. Mafia connections and lots of Laundered money are the least of Rosenfeld worries, when his wife might just become an accidental chink in their armour.
Set in the 1970's the films screenplay was written by Eric Warren Singer and David O. Russell and is loosely based on a real sting operation named Abscam which lead to the arrest and conviction of a number of elected officials.

Allen Ginsberg is a Beat Generation writer, with no idea that his venture to New York to attend Columbia University will hold more than just a promising future career-wise. It's there that he meets Lucien Carr; a slightly unhinged but ambitious, intelligent and extremely good looking fellow student who enjoys wild partying with his wealthy friend William Burroughs and, later, Jack Kerouac. As Allen and Lucien become closer, the latter's much older friend - a professor named David Kammerer - becomes increasingly jealous, threatening Allen who discovers that he has been following Lucien from city to city over a few years. Although Allen insists that they must find a way to prevent this incessant stalking, he is deeply shocked when David's body is discovered in the Hudson River, with Lucien held as prime suspect for stabbing him to death. Allen now faces a dilemma; to either use his skills in writing to make sure his friend is liberated, or reveal what he now believes is the truth to all.

Irving Rosenfeld is one of America's most talented con artists but his world of ladies and luxury is hanging in the balance when threatening circumstances force him, along with his temptress business partner and lover Sydney Prosser, to lend his talents to a sting operation set up by the FBI and led by the slightly unbalanced agent Richie DiMaso. Together they set out to uncover the corrupt campaigns behind Carmine Polito, the Mayor of Camden, New Jersey and a powerful political operator. However, Irving's wife Rosalyn Rosenfeld is getting more and more suspicious of her husband's business life and, with his lewd extramarital affairs getting more and more daring, it isn't long before she is driven to extreme lengths to uncover her private issues while in the meantime threatening the stability of the whole operation.
This gangster drama features an all-star cast that will keep you gripped from start to finish. It has been directed by the Oscar nominated David O. Chris Pratt is bulking up for his role in the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Chris Pratt, the 34-year-old actor who has bagged himself some pretty tasty roles in recent years, is bulking up for his role in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Pratt is the latest movie star to undergo a dramatic physical transformation and posted his progress in an Instragram photo this week.
It's not the first time the Parks and Recreation actor has changed weight for a movie role - he sported a hugely toned physique for his role as a member of Seal Team Six in Kathyn Bigelow's Osama Bin Laden movie 'Zero Dark Thirty' last year.

Glenn Close will play a role similar to Samuel L Jackson's in The Avengers.
Well this is a surprising casting, though one that sort of makes a ton of sense. According to the Deadline.com, Marvel Studios has landed Oscar winning actress Glenn Close to play a major new role in its latest franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy. The actress will reportedly play a leadership role in Nova Corp, the intergalactic space control.
The new James Gunn-directed movie goes into production next month, so Marvel have left it late to cast what is essentially a major role. The movie already boasts a pretty decent looking cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker and John C. Reilly. Pratt landed the lead role following a search that included Marvel looking at Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Jim Sturgess and Eddie Redmayne.
Sources tell Deadline that Close's role will be the closest thing to the one that Samuel L. Jackson plays in The Avengers, though perhaps with more of an edge. Close has proven she can play the hardnosed character in the likes of Damages, Fatal Attraction and, err, 101 Dalmatians and we see her being a real hit in Guardians.

Daniel Radcliffe has been working really hard in the past couple of years, trying to shed every last bit of that Harry Potter fame.
His latest film, Kill Your Darlings, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, Radcliffe portrays the late beat poet Alan Ginsberg, in 1944 when a murder brings him together with fellow writers and college classmates William Burroughs (Ben Foster) and Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston). An indie film you say? With writers as the main characters? If that isn’t hipster bait at its finest, we don’t know what is. Then again, the film does look like a big departure for Radcliffe, who recently discussed the experience of filming the gay sex scene in the film.
"It was something new," Radcliffe explains at the Kill after party. “But you know what, we shot that whole scene in maybe an hour and a half so it was incredibly fast-paced. I didn't really have time to stop to think and worry about it."
David Chase, the brains behind 'The Sopranos', is due to release his first feature film tomorrow (December 21st 2012) entitled 'Not Fade Away'.
The movie is about a group of three friends in New Jersey who harbour dreams of setting up their own rock band after watching The Rolling Stones perform on TV. A young man called Douglas becomes the lead singer, defying his father's wishes and transforming himself in order to break through with his music. However, things get tense between the bandmates when his antics start affecting their success. The movie's title has been named after the Stones cover of the song by Buddy Holly which became the band's first ever US single.
It stars John Magaro, Jack Huston and Will Brill and is a semi-autobiographical account of Chase's youth when he was striving for stardom. Huston was recently interviewed by Vulture.com and admitted that he struggled to get the role on the movie and went through a gruelling audition process. 'I had six or seven auditions!' He said. 'David sort of liked me for the movie, and I flew to New York, and then he didn't like me at all for the movie anymore. I was like, I blew it! So then I put myself on tape, and he considered me again.'
The long awaited Boardwalk Empire season 3 finale aired last night, giving us closure on what has been a tense and sometimes tedious season from HBO's prohibition drama. And while it didn't arrest our expectations, 'Margaret Sands' was a finely tuned conclusion to an increasingly teetering plotline: Gyp Rossetti v Nucky Thompson.
I mean, who really thought Nucky would be overcome, relinquishing control of his beloved Atlantic City? Perhaps the sudden death of Owen Sleater, just before he was set to live his long and happy life with Margaret in the penultimate episode served a welcome shock, but in reality, this finale simply played out a story we all would have guessed. The cunning Nucky wriggled his way out, Rossetti's bullish and impatient style proved his downfall, and Richard Harrow saved the son he never had, Tommy, from a life of drugs, sex and death.

A group of three best friends from a New Jersey suburbia set up a rock band in 1964 after seeing The Rolling Stones perform on television and enlist one boy, played by John Magaro, as the lead vocalist. He changes his look and defies his father who is unimpressed with his son's big ambitions; especially when he expresses a desire to move away to where rock music is the main scene. When the band receive a contract to play seven nights a week for six months, things start to take a chaotic turn when he starts getting involved with a girl, fighting with his band mates and struggling to maintain a relationship with his father.

It is a story about living in the moment; not worrying about the future and forgetting about the past, taking every positive opportunity available. It has been written and directed by the genius behind New Jersey mob series 'The Sopranos', David Chase, in his feature film directorial debut. This emotionally charged drama flick is set for release this winter on December 21st 2012.
Starring: John Magaro, Jack Huston, Will Brill, Bella Heathcote, Brad Garrett, Christopher McDonald, James Gandolfini, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Molly Price, Julia Garner, Lisa Lampanelli, Alex Veadov & Justine Lupe.
